As the name "Switch" hints, Westcott Rapid Box Switch for Dynalite Flash Headshas introduced a line of softboxes designed for the rapid setup and swapping out of different brands of strobes and speedlights in seconds. This Westcott Rapid Box Switch for Dynalite Flash Headsis one of thirteen all-metal inserts available for different brands of flash heads. Instead of using a full dedicated speedring, this insert slides quickly into your Switch's rear tabs and secures in place with the Switch's thumb lock.

[0.3 lb] I purchased this with the hope that it would work with my older Joel Grimes Beauty Dish that had a permanent Bowens mount. I had recently upgraded to ProFoto from some older monolights. It worked! The fit is perfect. One simply has to remove four screws and nuts and pull the old one out and then place this one back. One should have a modicum of skill using small hand tools. It seems as if Westcott has replaced the permanent screw mount with a quick release mechanism now. Smart move, as many folk like me have more than one lighting brand. The item itself is sturdy and well built. Same can be said for the Westcott modifiers, so I'm glad I can continue to use this one. 5

[0.3 lb] Works well. The only issue is making sure it is properly seated so it doesn't slide out once you mount the modifier on your light. Only used it twice so far but happy 5

[Dynalite] Lost my instruction book. It took me a while to figure out the assembly onto the box. Two tabs are spring loaded. So simple. 5
