Lowepro Freeline Backpack 350 Aw Black Camera Bag
  • Product Code: eq57933
  • Availability: In Stock

$644.85 $844.75

This black Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW Black Camera Bagis a versatile bag that features two primary configurations. Inside its spacious main compartment, a removable, folding partition system forms three shelves that can be used to store camera, video, audio, or digital media equipment. The shelves can accommodate a DSLR camera kit with a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, and to enhance the ability to organize the contents, a Lowepro Gear Box equipment pouch is included. Cords, adapters, and other essentials for the devices carried by the FreeLine Backpack 350 AW can be inserted within the Gear Box, keeping them organized and available. Complete access to the FreeLine Backpack 350 AW's interior is enabled by a zippered rear panel, while two zippered side openings further complement the folding partition system and Gear Box. While in use, the folding partition system's shelves and the Gear Box itself can be reached when the bag is rotated from one's back to front with either side opening facing upward. Each side opening also provides interior organizational pockets for memory cards, batteries, or other accessories that are frequently exchanged when an item is removed or placed within a bag.

When the FreeLine Backpack 350 AW is worn, a dedicated compartment for 15" laptops rests directly behind the shoulders, followed by the main compartment, and a front-facing pocket for items that need to be accessed quickly and conveniently, such as a pair of sunglasses or music player earphones. Positioned above the backpack's base, the laptop compartment helps minimize the effect of any bumps or shocks upon its contents. Along the exterior of each zippered side opening is a large, open pocket that can hold a water bottle, tripod, monopod, or trekking pole; any one of which can be secured using a locking strap above each pocket.

The FreeLine Backpack 350 AW can be carried using its built-in top handle, or by its adjustable shoulder straps. A zipper along the inner edge of the strap which rests over the wearer's left shoulder opens to reveal a pull-out smartphone pocket that accommodates even large-screen mobile devices. When traveling over difficult or uneven terrain, the bag's waist belt transfers weight to the hips for additional comfort, while the sternum strap further limits unintentional shifting around the wearer.

Featuring durable, weather-resistant nylon construction, this backpack's attachment webbings along its sides and on the face of its front panel allow for pouches with external straps such as the Gear Box to be clipped or tied to this bag's surface. While traveling with a rolling case that features a dual-column telescoping handle, a pass-through band across the center of the FreeLine Backpack 350 AW's rear panel allows this bag to be mounted onto such handles for added convenience.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi,will a Canon t6i + Tamron 100-400mm Lens attached fit? Lens dimensions are the same as a 70-200mm f2.8. Has someone tried it?

A: No, the Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW (Heather Gray) is too small for the T6i with the Tamron 100-400 attached.

Q: 2. Can this bag be configured to hold a gripped XT3 with Fuji 150-600mm attached? With room for more lenses?

A: Yes, the Lowepro Whistler Backpack 350 AW II can hold the FUJIFILM X-T3 Mirrorless Camera with the FUJIFILM XF 150-600mm f/5.6-8 R LM OIS WR Lens attached with room for a couple of small - medium lenses.

Q: 3. Hi guys, will a Canon 5D Mark IV with lens attached fit? And any possibility of a Canon 1DX with 50mm prime lens fitting?

A: The camera compartment on the Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW (Black) is 9.8 x 6.29 x 12.59 inches. The 5d Mark IV should fit fine. The 1DX IV will be tight.

Q: 4. Does the pocket on the outer side (not the main compartment) have interior pockets?

A: The front pocket on the Lowepro Whistler Backpack 350 AW II (Gray) has a small mesh pocket. The rest of the compartment is design to hold outdoor sports gears and sharp objects. If you need additional space for small personal items you can use the top pocket.

Q: 5. Is it comfortable carrying camera & lens weight without a waistband?

A: I've used the backpack for a whole week in Iceland, it was packed with Canon 80D, 24-70 F2.8, 70-200 F2.8, Mavic Pro + 3 x Batteries, 430 ex Flash Gorilla Pod and Gopro + 3 small Acc's. Yeah all of that fit in it. It was very heavy and I didn't use or feel the need to use the chest strap or the waist strap for that matter. It was fine. the longest hike was 5 km's on mainly flat rocky surface.

Q: 6. How to access the side pocket if it is a backpack? A backpack needs two front straps, there is no way to have a quick side access unless at least one strap is taken off. I love the comfort of backpack because it distributes the weight evenly but I also like the sling type bag for fast access. Is this the combo of both worlds?

A: Just like others have stated, you have to slip one strap off in order to slide the pack around to the front.

Q: 7. What length avalanche poles will fit in this backpack. IS there room for an avalanche shovel?

A: There is no limit to the length of a pole other than what you are comfortable with carrying. A pole or tripod would be external to the backpack as shown in this photo: https://bit.ly/2X70YlM However using an extremely long pole could interfere with your ability to walk but a taller person would be able to handle a longer pole than a shorter person. It would be more comfortable using a pole, tripod or shovel that is not much longer than 21 inches,

Q: 8. Can I fit a Macbook Pro 2018 15.4 in this backpack?

A: Yes and with the sleeve also.

Q: 9. Will the 350 aw ii fit a gripped D850 with 500mm pf attached or should I go with the 450 aw ii?

A: This bag should just fit the D850 with grip and the 500mm pf lens.

Q: 10. What is the shoulder strap width? Can this accomodate a Peak Design Capture clip?

A: The strap of the Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW is 3" wide. The Peak Design Capture clip fits, but it is tight, so it would be better to use the longer screws that come with the clip

[Universal] I had a same size Lowepro back pack that i recently took to a trip to Olympic NP. 3 Side opening and top separate space for other things for snacks, accessories, protein shake and stuff.
I broke the side zip.
Needed a replacement. This size is perfect.
I take a big Think Tank bag to carry all the stuff and this smaller bag for Nikon Z6 with 24-70 attached and another lens based on the type of location.
I prefer this smaller bag as I cannot stuff too much into the bag. I often do, when i go on hikes. The the more I stuff, the heavier it gets on the trails to carry
Haven't used it yet. But i like it, expensive though, yet no so much as PD or Wandrd.
Feature wise, i was going to buy an accessories pouch for my filters, this bag has it, was going to buy Gorilla Pod 3k, this bag comes with it.
I liked the removable dividers as it turns the bag into everyday back pack which doesn't scream DSLR bag.
This bag is so cute, I don't feel like getting it dirty on a beach or on a trail, lol

[Yes] I have been using the same old pack for many years (a Lowepro 1981), and am amazed by how far design has progressed. This one fits into the overhead storage compartment of a very tiny plane, and the top pocket is roomy enough to hold things needed on a long flight while the rest of the thing protects all my fragile gear. On site the side openings make it very easy to get at equipment, and small pouches keep memory cards, filters, etc. accessible. The one problem I have encountered is the length of the straps. I am a small person, and need all straps set to their shortest length. They tend to slide out a bit from that position, so I will be adding some snaps and hooks to keep them in place.

[Yes] Materials are excellent and the backpack feels good on the back. I can fit inside camera gear (Sony a7r iii + 1 or 2 lenses) and a 15" laptop. Even a small drone. Great thing is that the backpack size isnt too big or too small, its perfect for the city and travelling.

[Zipper] I have been carrying this bag with all my gear, 2 bodies, 2 lenses around nyc for days. Extremely satisfied. This is the most comfortable and well thought out ergonomically perfect bag I have owned since my first bag in 1990s and approximately two dozen after that.

[Yes] I have used this backpack for two years! I am a frequent traveler and love to use the backpack to carry my A7M3, 2-3 lenses, 2 flash light, 1 LED light, some accessories, and a bunch of cables, and a power bank. Of course, iPad pro or MacBook is also carried at the same time. While you are hiking you can also carry two tripods with this bag. Consider the price, you pay less than you get. I definitely recommend this bag! Forget to mention that the quality is also good. too.

[Black] This pack is really great, and in contrast to another reviewer’s opinion, I think this Lowepro beats the Peak Design 20L everyday backpack. This bag has everything the Peak Design bag has, plus more—a rain cover, an included accessories bag, a better closure system at the top (zipper rather than flap), and better pockets on the inside of the side access pockets. And in my opinion it looks way better. As for the removable shelf system, yes it takes up a bit of your useable space on the inside, but in my experience it actually makes my Nikon D750 and four lenses fit better—less rattling around. I used some dividers from a different Lowepro bag to customize my setup so one lens is on the camera, and the other three are on their own little cubby. And I have room for another lens if I want. My only complaint is that Lowepro doesn’t seem to sell replacement parts such as chest straps, etc. Anyway, I highly recommend this pack. It is full featured and excellent construction using high-quality materials. And as always, B&H’s customer service is wonderful.

[Universal] I just got it from B&H store in Manhattan a couple of days ago and initially I was going there to get Peak Design Everyday Backpack, 20 L but when I saw this one on display I had decided to check on it first and at the end of that research I'd completely changed my mind and got this Lowepro backpack. My criteria was to get a backpack with both side openings and at least 3 places available from each side. I usually travel with my Sony a6600 with 18-105mm lens attached, Sony a5100 with 10-18mm lens attached and Sony 100-400mm with TC1.4. I was able to place everything inside the bag plus a lot of miscellaneous on top. Still I have all side flaps unused.
I'm grateful to get this bag because I was able to place everything I needed, it has more compartments comparing to PD and one more feature which is common for PD too is an ability to place my a6600 with attached 100-400 with TC vertically into the bag because the design of both brands allows to bend dividers on 90 degrees so I'm able to place even Sony 200-600mm inside vertically which is an awesome feature for me from both brands, Lowepro and PD but I paid almost $100 less than PD. Kudos to Lowepro!!!
