If you've ever had difficulty removing a filter from your lens, these 62-82mm Rubberized Filter Wrench 2-Pack Setcan help save the day. Two steel wrenches that each features a fully-rubberized surface are included with this set. Both wrenches may also be used to separate up to two stacked filters on a single lens. This can be accomplished by using one wrench to hold the filter closest to the lens in place and using the other wrench to unscrew the other filter. Along with long handles and a squeeze-type design, their rubberized surfaces further ensure comfort and provide an enhanced grip for ease of use. These wrenches are compatible with filters ranging from 62-72mm in diameter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are Hoya 82mm diopters compatible with Sirui 1.6x Full-Frame Anamorphic Lenses?

A: The Sirui 35mm T2.9 1.6x Full-Frame Anamorphic Lens (Sony E) does accept 82mm filters so the Hoya 82mm HMC Close-Up Filter Set II (+1, +2, and +4) will fit it.

Q: 2. Does this work well with studio strobes, off camera strobes? Or only under natural lights?

A: Yes, the Lensbaby OMNI Creative Filter System (Large, 62-82mm Filter Thread) work great with all lighting scenarios, strobe or natural.

Q: 3. Does this work with lens other than lensbaby's?

A: Yes, works with any lens as long as the adapter rings are compatible sizes to your lens/lenses.

Q: 4. Do the filters have 82mm front thread so that I can use mattebox and NDs if needed?

A: Yes. Each of the Hoya HMC close-up filters has a 82mm front-filter thread.

Q: 5. Does this work well with studio lightings, off camera strobes? Or only natural lighting? Thanks!

A: The Lensbaby OMNI Creative Filter System (Large, 62-82mm Filter Thread) is designed to be used artistically and it can be used within any lighting circumstances that please you and your client.

Q: 6. Can it works for 82mm

A: No unfortunately, the set will only accommodate filters up to 77mm. We do not have any options that will work with 82mm sized filters.

Q: 7. I have very very slim ring for the CPL filter (the ring that is close to the lens is extremely thin), will this wrench work? The CPL outside ring that rotates is about 2X thick of the insider ring though? Can this wrench grab both rings with the inside ring that is actually attached to the lens?

A: Haven't worked for me.

Q: 8. Are these Sensei Rubberized (ie. steel coated with rubber) wrenches worth the extra cost over the plastic ones? I'm asking in the context of 58mm filters, but also just in general.

A: Yes. I've had the plastic ones break. These probably won't ever break and the rubber coating is sticky and grabs the filter better. I own them in 3 different sizes. Definitely worth the extra cost.

Q: 9. I have a 67mm threaded Kit lens currently, but use 82mm filters with a step up ring, so when I get my new 82mm lenses, I don’t have to repurchase. Would 82mm close up lenses work on my 67mm with the step up ring?

A: Yes, they will work.

Q: 10. Is this worth the extra money/weight over the Sensei plastic versions?

A: Yes the rubberized wrench is better than the plastic versions. You get a better feel and can use more strength with the rubberized ones. I bought both and ended up using just the rubberized steel one. But it also depends on how tight the filter is stuck on the lens. Unfortunately for me, my UV filter is pretty stuck on the lens since it's been there since I bought the lens so neither rubberized or steel wrenches worked to get the filter off. That being said I still think that purchasing the wrenches was a good idea and if I had to do it again I would just buy the rubberized ones. Hope this helps.

[0.155 lb] I was able to get 2 very stuck filters apart. One has a slim profile so a little patience and persistence was require but they eventually separated.
