A: The frame extends a bit beyond the green screen itself. I'd give yourself about 7-8' total to operate with the base stands fully expanded.

A: I bought it as a gift for a photographer. I used it one time and if I had to guess I'd say it's about 8 feet give or take.

A: It's about 42 long collapsed and fits inside the carry case for a full background stand set.

Q: 9. What is the exact length of each half? In other words, how "short" can this be for travel?

A: This bar is telescopic, it does not have sides. The length is about 60".

Q: 10. Can I change the width? As the descriptions says "up to 9.5' in width", does that mean, I can reduce the width like a telescoping system if I do not have enough space?

[3.1 lb] I use this product practically everyday. It's great quality for the price and the dimensions are perfect for what i shoot. can't find any stand with these dimensions for this price without it being used. the only thing i'd change is the mechanism that holds the stand height. 5

[3.1 lb] I was very pleased when the Economy Background Support arrived. It was easy to assemble and easy to store after I used it. Being a woman of small frame I really appreciated the fact that I could set the stand up, and adjust it on my own. It's great for using in a small space (my living room). It works well with paper or a lightweight backdrop. 5
