The 130 x 170mm Cokin NUANCES X-Pro Graduated ND Filter 3-Stopis designed for use with a Cokin X-Pro Series Filter Holder. It helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A neutral density filter with a soft-edged line of transition is able to filter the sky while minimizing its effect on the land. It is particularly useful where the transition between sky and foreground is indeterminate, such as images featuring mist, fog, or the tops of trees. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 3-stop reduction in light from entering a lens.

Cokin NUANCES Extreme filters are constructed from tempered, shock-resistant glass and feature nano-metallic alloy film coatings on both sides of the filter surface to attenuate infrared light while maintaining true color fidelity, even when stacked with other Cokin NUANCES or NUANCES Extreme filters. Anti-glare coatings further help to reduce surface reflections for increased contrast and clarity, while additional hydrophobic coatings result in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency. Additionally, Cokin NUANCES Extreme filters feature C-shaped edges. This rounded edge shape resists chipping to further enhance durability.

A: Yes, it has a 82mm front thread.

Q: 2. Does this have front threads? So I could mount a lens hood? Or stack a filter?

A: No, the K&F Concept Nano X-Pro HD Variable ND2-400 Filter (62mm) does not have any front threads for mounting a filter or hood.

[0.57 lb] I have many Cokin filters and all of them have held up great, this filter looks like it will be just as great.

[0.57 lb] This filter is great. I use it with Nikon D850 and the images are awesome. I have used those plastic filters and was always scratching them. I have not drop it yet so I'm not sure how it will hold up on rocky terrain. I believe it will hold up on Sand or grass just fine. With higher mega pixels bodies you need to put good filters on your lenses or don't use one at all because it will show in your images.

[0.57 lb] This is an addition to my original set of Cokin ND graduated filters and seems to work fine for me. I just got back from a trip to Yosemite and used this filter a lot because we had bright sunshine each day I was there. This filter helped with the huge contrasts between the bright skies and the darker riverbeds and forests.

[0.57 lb] This is a very high quality glass graduated filter, the extra length is handy with large lens diameters and special shots. I use this filter on a full-frame sensor camera with a 77mm Canon L series lens. Also comes with a nice soft case and micro-fiber cloth. I would recommend this to anyone.

[0.57 lb] This was the first time I have used a RVRS GRAD and like the results. In did a great job of allowing more light in the foreground area, Bring down the Sunset light , and bring the sky light from a white to the blue/gray. I did bring the filter up to high and was able to get that light blue look on the bottom of the clouds. As I use the filter more, I will try and update the review. See attached photos.
