Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this be too big a rain cover for a 80D Canon plus the new 100-400L ll? Would the medium size be better (then I could use it with smaller lenses)? With either LensCoat sleeve, will focusing (through the velcro) be a frustrating experience?

A: Also, as long as you're not wearing gloves or sleeves made out something that the Velcro could catch on, the manual focusing shouldn't be a frustrating experience at all with your long lens. It is a bit impractical, though, if manual focusing your smaller lenses.

Q: 2. Is it made of Gore Tex or breathable-water proof fabric?

A: It is made from a breathable water proof fabric.

Q: 3. How would this size of a cover work for a 50mm lens and a 24mm lens? Also how good is this cover in the snow and heavy downpour? Thanks.

A: This cover worked great for us. We used it on a photo trip to Alaska for a project on coastal brown bears. It rained all day but we were still able to photograph grizzly bears fishing at the falls and the cameras stayed dry. We also had occasion to use this in Yellowstone last fall when it snowed and rained one of the days we were there. You can see the results at jsnaturephotography, com. Highly recommend this cover and B&H.

Q: 4. the guy in the video acted like he was using the viewfinder, but you can't see out of the viewfinder lol. Right?

A: Yes, it is possible to use the viewfinder or LCD screen when using the LensCoat RainCoat Small Sleeve. The last few images on LensCoat's website for this item shows the rear view of the item, both open, exposing the full rear of the camera, and closed, only exposing the camera's eyepiece. The back may be used either open or closed.

Q: 5. Will this be long enough for the Sigma 150-600 sport?

A: I use mine on a Tamron 150-600 and I suspect, but don't know for sure, that both Sigma's and Tamron's lenses are roughly the same size.

Q: 6. Will this fit a Fuji 100-400 lens at full extension?

A: Yes, it will fit.

Q: 7. Can use it with canon 1dx and 70-200 lens ?

A: Hello Caroline,I have not opened the box as I use Aqua Tech rain covers and bought these light weight covers to quickly put them on to avoid champgne damage for celebrations. But I am fairly sure the Lg is for a 300 2.8 or similar. The Med would fit your 70-200. Beware these are not full coverage for your body like Aqua Tech and using them in rain where you have your camera on your shoulder it does not offer much protection. Hope this is helpful. Q: 8. Will this fit a Canon 5D Mark III with a 400mm f2.8 lens attached?

A: Julia, I too have a Canon EOS 5D Mark III. I do not have a 400mm f2.8 lens. However, the RainCoat Rain Sleeve will fit my Mark III with my Sigma 150-600mm 1:5-6.3, zoomed out to 600mm, with room left over.

Q: 9. What's the difference between regular, Max 4, and Max 5?

A: Max 4 and Max 5 are two popular camouflage patterns designed by RealTree. Max 4 is a well established, popular pattern which we have been selling for many years. Max 5 is a newer pattern which also includes some green leaf elements. Both are great all round camouflage patterns.

Q: 10. Wondering if this size is overkill for use with a Nikon 24-70mm 2.8? It will be fine for my 70-200mm 2.8, but I want to just try one size for (hopefully) both lenses.

A: The Medium is longer than necessary for the 24-70mm lens. But if you want one cover for both your lenses, the Medium size is definitely usable.
