Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the Samson Expedition use on 220-240V power supply to charge?

A: Yes. In New Zealand we have a 230v AC power grid and i have no trouble charging the speaker. The charger that comes with the Samson Expedition XP106W is rated for use on 100-240v 50/60Hz.

Q: 2. can the system handle 2 wireless microphones?

A: Currently you cannot use two of the supplied XPD1 USB wireless systems simultaneously. You can however connect another standard wireless system to one of the additional inputs to use two wireless at one time.

Q: 3. can i add more than one wireless speaker? I need to be able to add up to 6.

A: According to the manual only a powered speaker can be added by using a 1/4 inch instrument cable. Either that or the unit can be linked to another system of the same kind.

Q: 4. Can a bluetooth device beyond the headset connect to the speaker? For example, could it be connected to a bluetooth headphone set so that a student who is hard of hearing could have the sound directly into their ear while it was also broadcast over the speakers?

A: The Samson Expedition XP106wDE can play audio from Bluetooth devices, but it cannot send audio over Bluetooth to devices such as headphones. The included wireless microphone does not use Bluetooth, but rather a 2.4 GHz digital wireless connection similar to WiFi.

Q: 5. If I purchase a second system and connect them, can I then use all the input ports on both speakers and get the sound out of both speakers? Could this be a way to add a second wireless mic to the system?

A: Yes indeed. Great idea!

Q: 6. HOW HEAVY IS THIS UNIT?

A: Specifications for the XP106 are as follows: Dimensions (LxDxH) 9.5 x 9 x 14.2 with a weight of 16.3 lbs.

Q: 7. Do you still have this in stock?

A: we are currently out of stock: More on the Way: Expected availability: 3-7 business days

Q: 8. what is batter life and how long does it take to recharge?

A: The XP106 has an internal, rechargeable battery capable of up to 20 hours of continuous audio on a full charge. Even though the system may have some charge when first taken out of the box, we recommend fully charging your XP106 before first using the system. An overnight charge as with a cell phone should be fine. FYI, The XP106 utilizes a sealed lead-acid gel cell battery. When not in use, the battery will slowly self-discharge. If you are planning not to use the XP106 for a long period of time, it is advised to fully charge the unit before storing. It is also important to charge the unit every six months when not used. This will ensure a healthy battery and extend its life. If the battery is left with a very low charge for an extended period of time, it is possible to recharge thebattery to working condition, but the charge time can take over 24 hours.

Q: 9. Can the ststem and lavalier be used to play mysic downloaded on Apple iphone?

Q: 10. Has anyone used this amp for busking ? Does it crack or buzz at high level ? Im singing while playing the guitar with percussion looping ...

[117 dB] I have this system in my classroom for a few days now and it just works seamlessly. No complicated adjustments... It just works!

[902 to 928 MHz] I use this to give powerpoint presentations to groups of 100 or fewer. The headset microphone is great. If you take the windscreen foam off, it's almost invisible. There is a wire which you can run inside your shirt from the mic to a transmitter on your belt. There is a bluetooth receiver that plugs into the amp with a range is 30 or so feet. Using this set-up, paired with my logitech remote to advance the slides, I am free to walk around on the stage. It's all I had hoped for. P.S. it is very portable. It doesn't have a treble-bass adjustment.

[+12 V] Terrific system - haven't used it yet for our event coming up but tested it in various rooms - the quality is very acceptable and it projects sound very well. The stand is a must to position the amplifier properly and the stand is easy to install and setup.
