Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What's the difference between this and the OP/TECH USA Utility Strap-Sling (Black) B&H # OPSUSBZ MFR # 3501242 ?

A: The only difference is in the shape of the pad. The pad construction and the connectors are all the same. As the Utility version has a curved pattern, it is designed primarily for the left shoulder which is most common. It can be worn on the right shoulder but you'd need to purchase a set of Gender Changers so that the orientation of the strap can be changed to function properly. The Super Classic Sling can be worn easily on the left or right shoulder as it uses a straight pad design. They are both extremely comfortable so it's merely a matter of perference.

Q: 2. Would the straps fit a telescope tripod with 1.75" dia legs - all 3 equaling a little over 5" total diameter?

A: Yes, OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap have fully adjustable strap. You can easily fasten the strap to a1.75'' diameter.

Q: 3. Can this strap be used over the left or right shoulder?

A: The Utility Strap-Sling is designed to be worn over the left shoulder; however, it can be transformed to work on the right shoulder if you purchase the System Connectors-Gender Changers which will change the orientation of the strap. Another option would be to purchase our Super Classic Sling which can be worn on either the right or the left shoulder with no conversion needed. It's due to the shape of the pad on the Utility Sling that makes the orientation on the shoulder specific. The Super Classic-Sling pad is straight so it can be worn either way. They both are designed with all the same features and comfort level. The pad shape is the primary difference. I hope that this helps.

Q: 4. This strap seems designed for right hand carry. Is there a version for left hand carry?

A: Works great both ways. Kinda universal

Q: 5. how wide is the shoulder-strap area?

A: sorry I'm late !! the shoulder Pad is maybe 2 1/2 inches - but ket me tell you this system is just the best thing i have tried - I use this strap on my 5d Mark iii and also on my 1d mark iv which is the full bodied heavy pro - also I have carried that with a 300 mm prime no problem - i do use two attachment point with bigger lens etc... - also note you do not have to let the camera hang all the way down as shown - you can adjust the Stops to hold the camera up in the center of your chest too - handy when moving thru a crowd or getting on a bus - things like that -- highly recommend this strp and their chest harness is cool too (I like the non strech vers) you just clip from the shoulder strap and clip into the chest strap - works super at sports or concerts

Q: 6. Can I use this sling strap to carry an iPad using my Tether tools AeroTab holder and a screw/d ring mount?

A: An iPad with the Tether Tools AeroTab Universal Tablet Mounting System (Standard) does not have a place to attach the OP/TECH USA Super Classic Sling (Black). Since the Tether Tools AeroTab has a 1/4"-20 socket, get the BlackRapid Street Breathe Camera Strap (Black), BH #BL171001.

Q: 7. Will this strap attach to a Sony FE 200-600 zoom lens?

A: Yes, but we usually suggest the following models as they support more of a payload OP/TECH USA Envy Strap (Black) BH #OPESB • MFR #3801332 https://bhpho.to/3Wt4DDj

Q: 8. Will this work with a Nikon D7500?

A: Yes, the Super Classic Uni Loop will work with your D7500. If the connection area is tight, you may need to use a piece of heavy thread or dental floss to pull the Uni Loop through the connection point rather than trying to push it through.

Q: 9. I worry about the solidity of using only one of the strap clips on my Fuji X-T2 with this strap for the unison loop -- is this method completely solid and dependable?

A: I purchased the Op Tech for my back-up Sony dslr camera body, my primary Sony dslr camera has a more robust Carry Speed strap. The less expensive Op Tech works fine for the limited use I'm using it for.

Q: 10. What is width and length of pad?Specified for other Op/Tech straps

A: Hello,Mine is 25.4 inches long free and strap is 2.36 inches wide on shoulder.Very confortable.Regards Paul

[Yes] Bought this for my wife to eliminate the 'standard' neck strap. She was very comfortable carrying the DSLR camera, all day long at an airshow, with this strap. She's happy, I'm happy. :-)

[Yes] My first OP/TECH Super Classic Strap has proven to be so dependable and comfortable for long hikes and days with a camera on that I had to have one for my second rig. The varied, additionally available Uni-Loop connectors and extensions have provided me with a way to integrate my entire rig giving me options in how I carry my lenses and accessories as well.
Brilliant system and as always, B&H's service and delivery were first rate!

[Yes] Well-made, sturdy, perfect for my X100V. It's the second one I've bought. I've used the other for my DMC-LX7 which is a little lighter than the X100V and it's durable and easy to use.

[Yes] Purchased to replace factory supplied binocular strap that comes with Minox BL & BV binoculars: that are far too short . The OP/Tech-USA strap is a great product. It is very well padded for neck comfort & support, and it is plenty long enough to use over a heavy/bulky winter jacket; and more then long enough to carry a pair of binoculars cross shoulder around your neck and then under your arm hanging on your side, so that the binoculars do not swing down and bump thing when you lean over.

[0.31 lb] I can’t find any fault with Op/Tech straps: comfortable, durable, and not overpriced like the vanity straps.

[0.31 lb] I attached the optional OP Tech extenders on my strap because it needed a little more length.
This made it easy to carry the Z 180-600mm. Attach them to the lens mount eyelets on the back of the lens. The whole setup is more balanced. Just remove the camera strap from the camera and attach it to the lens. Now you don't carry the big heavy lens supported by a camera in an unbalanced way.

[Yes] Was concerned about the way it hooks up to only one side of my camera but got used to it in a hurry.

[0.31 lb] Bought one to sling a compact Nikon P7700 while touring Northern CA and it worked so well I replaced the original strap on my old F4s film camera with another (apples to oranges I know) Now one for the D600... I'm all set!

[Yes] This appears to be an outstanding strap. The shoulder pad does generally stay on the shoulder, My rig slides up and down the strap easily, and I'm confident it can support heavy equipment. I have a Canon 1D X and a Canon 500mm f/4 II lens. So far, so good.
