Constructed for durability while remaining lightweight, use of the LEE100 Filter Holder is easily accomplished by first screwing a separately available LEE Filters adapter ring for a 100mm system filter holder onto a lens with corresponding front filter threads. After being fitted onto an adapter ring, the filter holder's pull-and-release locking knob helps to provide a reliable, yet adjustable connection that allows the holder to be rotated 360°, allowing the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning. Featuring three user-selectable positions, the locking knob can be set to allow the filter holder to be rotated or removed from an adapter ring. By progressively turning the locking knob, the filter holder can be locked onto an adapter ring while it is rotated, or it can be locked onto an adapter ring with no rotation.

Three pairs of snap-on LEE Filters Filter Guide Blocks are included. When installed, a guide block pair creates one, two, or three slots for 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters and accommodates a separately available LEE Filters LEE100 Polarizer Filter. This filter can be snapped directly onto a LEE100 Filter Holder's guide blocks without occupying any of their filter slots. A: Definitely no, as the slot itself is just a tad wider then 2mm, so a 2mm filter works perfectly and a 2mm filter with the rubber foam seal around the edges fits very snug.

So now I'm opting for this Lee Foundation Kit.The next challenge is a adaptor ring. This is difficult as the Bower has no thread. I have machined my own aluminium adaptor Ring with an outside diameter of 101mm; which slides into the filter holder; securing it. The other end is a slide-fit over the lens body with securing bolts.So; are there any comments on this combination of gear? the 4x4inch filters would work fine on a lens this wide?I just want to make 100% sure before I order.I'm interested in Long Exposure Landscape shots

A: The Lee Big stopper is not 4mm. It is 2mm thick.

A: Yes, you will have vignetting issues. You can crop it out, but it's a waste of pixels. I am absolutely torn as to whether to buy a 17-35mm or not because of this.

Q: 7. Is it possible to adapt or configure to hold smaller width filters such as the Cokin 84mm wide p filters? If so, how?

A: Unfortunately, we will only have adapters that allow for using a larger 4x4/4x6 filter with a Cokin P holder, and not the only way around. To do so, would cause a major vignette , especially with wider angle lenses.

A: I do not know. I have Canon gear and used this for shooting the eclipse. I would recommend talking with B@H technical staff.
