The DigitalFoto Solution Limited USB-C to Canon LP-E6 Dummy Battery with PD Fast Charging is designed to work with USB-C PD power supplies, and as such, the PD of the power supply would regulate the voltage, so we can not say with any certainty that if you were to use a 12V power source that the battery would regulate the voltage to the correct power leve for the camera.
