Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the AVIO 1 Input adapter except a 25 volt or 70 volt audio signal or does it need to be adapted to a line level first?

A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel Analog Input Adapter for Dante Audio Network is intended for a balanced, line-level input signal.

Q: 2. Can the input version and output version of these units be used together as a standalone 2 channel dante system?

A: Yes you can, however you would need a switch as well.

Q: 3. Can the input / output version of these units be used together?

A: It would be helpful to have more details about the application you would be using this for as well as what you are connecting to and from. Please email us at audio@bhphotovideo.com with the information so we can best assist you..

Q: 4. Will the AVOI 1 Input adapter accept a 25 or 70 volt signal direct from a power amp or do you need to adapt it to a line level ?

A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel Analog Input Adapter is used to connect a line level output signal from an analog device to a Dante audio network.

Q: 5. 2 inputs x 1 output. Does this mean I will only have 1 mono signal output?

A: The Dante AVIO Bluetooth Adapter always outputs two Dante channels. It supports one A2DP connection for music and HFP connections for calls. For A2DP profile music, the output is stereo and uses both left and right channels. For HFP profile calls, the output is dual-mono, with the same content on both left and right channels.

Q: 6. How to find this MAC address

A: The address of Dante devices such as the Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel XLR Analog Output Adapter for Dante Audio Network can many times be found on the physical unit itself. Alternatively, the device and address could also be located in the Dane Controller. The article linked here provides further insight: https://bit.ly/3hr4rSI

Q: 7. Will this adapter work with analog microphones and supply phantom?

A: No, the Audinate Dante AVIO 2-Channel Analog Input Adapter for Dante Audio Network will not accept a microphone signal or supply phantom power. This adapter will integrate analog line level signals into a Dante Audio Network.

Q: 8. What speakers can I connect to this and with what connector?

A: Powered monitors via a 3-pin female XLR connector.

Q: 9. Would this be the correct adapter to add an intercom system to my Dante Network? I'm looking to integrate a Clear-Comm FSII Base

A: No, the Audinate Dante AVIO 2-Channel XLR Analog Output Adapter for Dante Audio Network would not be the correct adapter to use with your Clear-Comm FSII Base; it would work for output only. Instead, I would recommend using one B&H # AUADPDAOAU1 for output from the Dante system to the program input on your intercom base, and one B&H # AUADPDAIAU1 for the stage announce output of your intercom base into the Dante network.

Q: 10. if I have an output and input adapter do I still need some type of Dante management software for them to work or does it just work automatically?

A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 1-Channel XLR Analog Input and Output Adapters for Dante Audio Network provide plug and play operation. A common PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch is required and the Dante Avio adapters are compatible with Dante Domain Manager software for IT-level security and management. Dante Controller software can be used on any connected Windows or Mac computer in order to adjust audio controls for the Dante AVIO adapters. The software options can be used if desired, but it is not required for the adapters to function.

[>100 dB] Ordered new microphones but still wanted to use my older mixer. Shipped quickly, and installed even quicker. Downloaded the software and they were working within a few seconds. Going to order two more as I only ordered 2 for testing.

[>100 dB] I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to configure this with my New M1 MacBook Air. Audiante said they would have support towards the end of 2021, not sure why the long delay as complicated apps like Adobe already have started their transition.

This adaptor is great for transmitting audio with zero perceptible latency over the network. You'll need a POE+ switch or power source, and your laptop must also be connected via ethernet since Dante doesn't work over WiFi.
