Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this model compatible to use as a companion for Explorer Pro?

A: Unfortunately No- Second speaker would have to be a powered unit.

Q: 2. Can you connect additional speakers?

A: Yes, the Bose L1 PRO8 Portable Line Array Speaker System with Bluetooth features an XLR M Line Out connection for sending signal to other speakers.

Q: 3. Can you stream music via Bluetooth?

A: Yes

Q: 4. what is max power draw for bose l1 pro 8 ?

A: For the Bose L1 PRO8; 60W for the speakers, 240W for the subwoofers.

Q: 5. Does acoustic guitar plug directly into this?

A: Yes. The Polsen PA-5150BT 5" 150W Portable PA System has a switch to select "Instrument" or "Mic/Line." When "Instrument" is selected, the "Mic/Line 1" input becomes an instrument input, allowing you to plug in the guitar without the need for a direct box.

Q: 6. Does this PA system includes a built-in battery?

A: This PA requires electric power to operate. It does not have a battery.

Q: 7. I'd like to mount this speaker on a wall. Any recommendations on how to do it?

A: You could mount the Polsen PA-5150BT 5" 150W Portable PA System with a wall plate such as BH #IMBPRAMBH and a 1/4"-20 to 5/8"-16 adapter such as BH #AUADCOMBOS.

Q: 8. Is this made to use the speaker outdoors during rain, or just for transporting? It shows it with the tweeters (narrow) speakers attached, so it implies for during use.

A: The Anchor Audio NL-BEAWP Soft Weatherproof Cover for Beacon 2 Portable Line Array is designed with protection in mind as opposed to audio performance. The speaker could theoretically still be used while covered, but may lose some fidelity and power output in this scenario. The cover also inhibits any hardwired connections on the speaker's back panel.

Q: 9. How many additional L1 PRO8 speakers can I connect? Can i use an unmanaged switch to create a 4 unit PA?

A: The RJ45-style network connectors on the Bose L1 PRO8 Portable Line Array Speaker System with Bluetooth are designed to connect the L1 to the Bose ToneMatch mixers. Each ToneMatch can connect to two L1 towers (one left, one right). The L1 PRO8 also features a dedicated line output connection via XLR that could be used to daisy chain and feed signal to other speakers.

Q: 10. ARE CASES INCLUDED?

A: A carry bag is included with the Bose L1 PRO32 Portable Line Array Speaker System with Bluetooth.

[Neodymium] I’m completely satisfied and impressed with this product. I’ve always trusted Bose so my expectations were very high and this sound system has blown mind mind.

This is exactly what I was looking for for my living room to be used on my karaoke parties! So I’m not a audio engineer or something like music technician. I’m a piano and guitar player, and amateur singer (take that in mind).

I’ve only used it in my living room so far, but I’m very confident that whenever I need to use it in my backyard won’t be disappointed.

The quality of the rever effect on microphones is like no other for a compact system like this. I’ve tested an electro-acoustic guitar and sounds great !

[1] I have been using the L1s for well over a decade, around the building in spaces large and small, and outside for gatherings of all sizes. The brilliance of this speaker in delivering consistent sound to people anywhere in the room is hard to capture in words, other than 'magic'! This new version manages to pack the same robust sound into just 8 speakers, seriously reducing the footprint of the previous model, as well as solving some of my issues with blocking the bottom set of speakers with a chair on the previous model. The wireless capabilities are taking the old remote control onto a new level, and I am very excited about bluetooth addition.

[120 dB] I love this kit! The footprint is only as big as the bass unit, so no cumbersome stand-mounted speakers to fiddle with. I like that there are three inputs built in, so you can do more with this version than you could with the previous version without also buying an external mixer.

I use this for acoustic guitar and vocals, both of which are first run through a TC Helicon. I know it sounds great that way, but have not yet tested it without the Helicon. With my current kit, I definitely sound better than I really do.

For now, this is set up in my dining room, and I'm playing for an imaginary audience. But as soon as I'm up for it, I no longer have the excuse that I don't have the gear to do a proper gig. I have other excuses, but am working on those, too.

Down side? The box was mangled pretty badly by the time FedEx made the delivery three days late, but nothing inside was damaged. For $1,800, it would have been nice for Bose to include a cover for the bass unit along with the very nice carrying case that was included for the stick speaker units. Also, I love the bluetooth remote controls that mimic the controls on the back of the bass unit, but it would be nice if there was a master volume control included. As it is, you have to adjust each input separately.

[1] I do a one-man-dog with WAV file backing tracks. Mostly smooth jazz, production pop rock, nylon guitar classical tidbits. All through a Pod Go wireless into the RCF J8.
This thing is clear and light to move. No, it does not have the incredible mid-range of the bigger arrays with 20x3 speakers, but boy does this thing belt out some air! Really good for tiny restaurants and patio gigs.

[55.5 lb] Powerful and clean sound than Bose L1 model 2 or F1 with Subwoofer, especially with Bose T4S /digital cable connection. It's also very compact and convenience for solo musicians or karaoke party. Overall as high end as point and shoot camera.

[250 W (Max)] It's amazing how this box has such a clear and strong sound. I was a user of Turbosound ip2000 which I sold recently because I only work with big sound but after listening to this Evox J8, believe me that it has NOTHING to envy to the regular Evox 8. Even the Bass 12 is even bigger than the regular evox 8 something that helps him a lot for heavy bass. Is it worth the investment. I recommend it. Thanks B & H
