A: glossy black underside. I painted mine Matt black.

A: This can be used to help with heat or rain so that the back of the camera, when mounted on it's side, does not get worn out by the elements.

A: We're afraid not. This mount is not waterproof.

[1.865 lb] Build quality on this is excellent. Seems to be the least expensive option as well. I mounted it on a 1x4 so that I could more evenly disperse the weight since it was going on drywall. If you're installing on brick or concrete, it's not necessary, but I would definitely recommend the extra step for drywall. 5

[1.865 lb] An interesting and unique camera mount (horizontal and/or vertical camera orientation). Somewhat expensive but it would cost more to one-off fabricate. High quality Dahua with hardware except for wall fasteners (4 required). FedEx overnight delayed 1 week due NE storm/flooding. B&H best price and excellent customer service (especially when things go off plan). Recommend. 5
