Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. thanks for your help, Can I use headset with shure wireless systems??

A: No, this Audix HT7 Condenser Headworn Microphone is not compatible with Shure wireless transmitters. It has a TA3F 3-pin mini-XLR female connector and the Shure transmitters uses a TA4F 4-pin mini-XLR female connector. The Audix HT7 Headworn Condenser Mic - 4-Pin XLR, SingleEar, Beige (B&H # AUHT7BG4PIN) is the compatible version of the same microphone.

Q: 2. Will the cable works for XSW 1-908 wireless system for for brass instruments?

A: Yes, the Mogan 2mm Replacement Microphone Cable for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters (Beige, 6') has the proper 3.5mm connection for use with the transmitter in the Sennheiser XSW 1-908-A UHF Wireless Brass Set. It will not serve as a replacement cable for the e908T Cardioid Gooseneck Microphone in this set, however.

Q: 3. Can this mic boom be used with the Quikloc QL742 double their stand?

A: Bye..not compatible only square bracket

Q: 4. can this be adapted to connect to my mixer? Is it compatible with phantom power?

A: You can use an adapter such as the Rode VXLR Plus (B&H # ROVXLRP) to connect the Sennheiser MKE Essential omnidirectional lavalier microphone to your mixer. The MKE Essential requires plug-in power and the VXLR Plus adapter can be used to convert the 3.5mm locking plug to XLR and it also converts phantom power from the mixer to plug-in power for the mic.

Q: 5. Does this lavalier works with the senheiser EW 100 G3 wireless system ?

A: Yes, the MKE Essential lavalier is compatible for use with Sennheiser's SK 100 G3 and other Sennheiser wireless microphone transmitters.

Q: 6. How does this compare to the ME 2-II microphone (which came with my G4 wireless system)? The original mic has gone bad so I need to replace it and am trying to determine which mic is best for documentary filmmaking between this one, ME2 and MKE2 (which is really outside of my budget currently).

A: This mic is designed for use on the stage and has some features particular to that aplication, like more flexable cords, higher SPL levels and sweat restance. For shooting documentary footage the ME-2 would be a better choice.

Q: 7. How wide is the rectangular mount? Top to bottom when looking at it horizontally! Looking to purchase for a different Z stand...

A: Thank you for your email. At this time the manufacturer has not made that specification available as it is meant to be mounted to either side of any QuikLok Z stand except for the Z-722 or Z-722L

Q: 8. Is it possible to put the Sennheiser MKE Essential with the RODELink Filmmaker Kit even if the Rodeling has a 4 V plug-in power supply?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKE Essential Omnidirectional Microphone with 3.5mm Connector can be paired with the Rode RODELink Filmmaker Kit Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System.

Q: 9. Does this lavalier works with the senheiser AVx wireless system ?

A: Yes, the MKE Essential does work with Sennheiser's AVX wireless bodypack transmitters.

Q: 10. Do you know of any adapters that go from the sennheiser 3.5mm plug to a 4-pin xlr for the sennheiser hsp2 headset mic? Trying to get the headset mic to work with a shure pack.

A: Unfortunately there are no adapters available that allow for the Sennheiser 3.5 connector to be used with a Shure transmitter.

[Plug-In Power] I am using this for speech in HAM radio transmissions. My shack' is hard-surfaced and I got reports about a tin-can sound. I went with the e845 because of the 'popular price' and supercardioid polar pattern useful to reduce this effect. It worked! Of course mic-to-mouth positioning becomes more important. The net result for me is that I am getting many favorable 'signal reports' from HAMs I speak with. Several have asked about the mic and have ordered one for themselves. BTW, this replaced a Shure SM7B, and the e845 has worked better for my application. Less EQ is needed to get a balanced sound for my voice (actually, no EQ at all is working). Specifically the e845 is plugged into a Kenwood TS-590SG HF transceiver. Very happy with the e845.
