Hawke Sport Optics 4-16x50 Endurance Riflescopecombines a 4-16x zoom with a wide 50mm objective in a compact and lightweight body to deliver a versatile scope for precision and distance hunting in low light. The scope features many characteristics of the series such as bright and clear fully multi-coated optics, a strong and durable one-piece 30mm maintube, a 15-yard minimum parallax-free range, and a fast-focus eyepiece while also introducing improvements in the form of an extended 31.2-7.8' (at 100 yards) field of view, 75 MOA windage and elevation ranges, and an increased number of layers of coatings (18). At the core of the optical system is the second focal plane .223/.308 Marksman illuminated reticle, defined by the German #4 outline with three hollow posts, a thin crosshair with illuminated ballistic stadia out to 600 yards, and a brilliant red illuminated target cross. The reticle draws power from the included CR2032 battery, has six brightness levels, and provides a precise aiming reference.

          Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do I need another accessory if I would like to attach it to an arca quick release foot?

A: I use a RRS plate attached to the lens collar foot. I also purchased a RRS clamp RS-FRBN which slides over the lens collar plate and is tightened. I am very pleased with this combination. If you also a have a camera L plate, you can mount the clamp of the L Plate, when not using heavier lenses. This is practical and quick. Hope this helps.

Q: 2. Are these binoculars waterproof?

A: Unfortunately this model is not Waterproof. It's Slip Resistant, also could handle light right. They are not Waterproof though. If you wanted something Waterproof I would go with the Nikon 16x50 Action Extreme ATB Binoculars. Website link: http://bhpho.to/1BfHF7L

Q: 3. So I seem to bwe missing something; the Micro goes in the Cam, then after gets inserted in the Mac Card to see on the Computer, correct? I'm new at this so bear with me!

A: To use the card reader on a computer, you would need an adapter to fit the full-size SD card reader.

Q: 4. Would this be good with a Pentax K-3ii with battery pack? What about when using a telephoto or zoom lens?

A: Yes. This chest harness will be able to accommodate most standard size 35mm DSLR's, including the Pentax K-3II. This harness will be the most secure way to attach your camera to your body while moving around. I would not recommend using the battery grip with the Pentax harness but you could use this Cotton Carrier instead: https://bhpho.to/3pAVE4n

Q: 5. I take my camera on long hikes, usually over 2 miles, photographing birds. Sometimes the terrain is rough and I fear that the BR strap will allow the camera to bounce away from my body and back striking my hip.Should I worry about a sore hip?

A: When I use this particular strap I tend to have my hand on the camera so it does not swing and I have never had a problem with impact on my hip. I am traveling to Africa in late October and I will be hiking in some tough terrain and I need my hands free during the hike. Based on this I am using the double spider holster set up. I did a similar hike last weekend and used the spider holster to hold two cameras with large lenses and it worked great and id not swing or move much during the hike. At the same time I was ready to take pictures at any time.

Q: 6. Has anyone used this to support a lens? I want to connect it to a super telephoto lens instead the bottom of my camera

A: Absolutely. We recommend attaching the BlackRapid straps to heavier telephoto lenses rather than the camera body. For added security, use the BlackRapid safety tether (available here: https://bhpho.to/3A4goVc) if your lens has a tethering/mounting strap point.

Q: 7. Does this come with a case?

A: Yes it has a case. The binoculars are OK for the money but not great, the diopter adjustment is very difficult to turn.

Q: 8. What about star and planet gazing

A: The Nikon 16x50 Aculon A211 Binoculars could be used for star and planet gazing too.

Q: 9. Is there a cable through the strap so it could not be cut? And does the screw every come lose?

A: I tighten the screw every time I put the strap on, and I have not had it come loose. But the silver-colored hook for the strap that goes under the arm comes out very easily. I tied strong carpet thread across the opening of the hook to keep it from sliding out.

Q: 10. Does the BlackRapid Sport Breathe (MFR # 361005) include the male threaded fitting to screw into the camera's tripod attach point?

          A: Yes it does come with , BlackRapid FR-5 FastenR Breathe B&H # BL363001

[1x CR2032] I am very happy with my Hawke binoculars 8x32). I've only had them a few weeks, but the few times I have used them I was impressed with the quality of the optics. The image is bright and sharp even when the subject is in the shadows. They are very well built but light weight. I would highly recommend these to anyone ready to upgrade to better binoculars on a limited budget. You can get better but you'll pay almost double what you can get these for. B&H had the best price and delivery was prompt (and free). I will return to B&H for my future photo or optical needs. Thank you.

[50 mm] When I received these binoculars, I was amazed at how compact and light they were. I was even more amazed by their optical quality, even under poor lighting. They are very sharp across the whole field of view, image contrast and colour are excellent, no visible chromatic aberration and ergonomically are a joy to use .
The included semi hard case and strap are also good quality.
I was considering buying the 8x42 version which gets excellent reviews but decided on the more compact 8x32 version after reading the following reviews

The B&H web site incorrectly lists these as having a Lightweight Polycarbonate Chassis but Customer Service confirmed with Hawke Optics that they are in fact a Magnesium Alloy Chassis.

Order processing by B&H and shipping time to Australia was excellent.

Highly Recommended
