The Williams Sound IR T2 SoundPlus Infrared Transmitter Assistive Listeningis a two-channel, SoundPlus Series infrared transmitter designed to deliver a coverage area of up to 18,000 square feet for assistive listening and language interpretation in commercial spaces. It supports 2.3, 2.8, 3.3, and 3.8 MHz transmission frequencies with WIR RX22-4, WIR RX18, or IR R1 receivers.

Line inputs are accessible via two Euroblock connectors while a 3.5mm mini jack allows the connection of a microphone, which can be optimized using the dedicated mic gain knob and microphone channel selection switch. Additionally, a control system may be integrated via a separate Euroblock port.

LEDs are provided for indication of power status and signal presence. The power-saving mode automatically shuts off the carrier after 12 minutes without audio. The included wall/ceiling mount and international power supply enable flexible installation.

[0.8 lb / 0.4 kg] We bought this system as an inexpensive way to allow clients to hear production audio on a shoot last week. It arrived the day after we ordered it. I love that the entire system comes in its own case! In addition, the individual pieces were packed in their own plastic bags that were closed with a piece of tape folded back on the end to allow easy opening without ripping the bag. I know this sounds like a small thing, but when you have to open a lot of little bags, it's a very nice touch. Tested the system and was able to get even greater range than advertised. When the day of the shoot came, it performed flawlessly, no hiccups or dropouts, and the included batteries lasted all day. The audio quality in these is not the greatest. At this price point, one wouldn't expect it to be. When listening with the included dual mono earbuds, it sounds a little phasey, like polarity is flipped somewhere. It's only transmitting a single channel, so if you switch to a pair of stereo headphones, audio will only come out of one side, and that sounds better to my ears than what we get in the dual mono buds. Once again at this price, we're in pretty good shape. We're not going for audiophile quality, just the ability to hear what's being said. This was a good purchase for our one-time use in this shoot, and I can see it working nicely in a permanent installation where hard-of-hearing patrons need a little extra volume to overcome room echo, etc. And I'm super impressed with the attention to detail the manufacturer has given to the packaging. [FM wideband] My church purchased this assistive listening system for use in translating our sermons. It is a very good system and includes everything is necessary to start broadcasting. Currently we're just using the FM receivers, but I've tried the app-based capabilities as well and it also works. The headphones are great too and easy to clean and care for. Since this original purchase we've also purchased two more receivers. 5

[±50 kHz] This system is by far the best system for venues looking for an economical choice to offer hospitality to those with hearing loss. One of my parishioners, who has not really heard what has been going on in worship for years, said to me after his first time using this, You can't imagine the difference. I want to let potential buyers know that, for best results, you may need a separate amplifier to boost the level of audio going into the transmitter. It all depends on your setup. If you hook this up, and the sound is still not loud enough at full volume, insert an amplifier of some sort (am/fm stereo ) into the audio chain between your sound system and the transmitter input. I am using an old Realistic stereo. I am also using an audio compressor, between the amp and the transmitter, but that isn't necessary. I am using it primarily for its gate function, that eliminates some noise when no one is speaking. The compressor keeps the audio volume level. 5
