From computers to HDTVs, this adapter allows you to stream your content at up to Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz over HDMI or DVI, or 1600 x 1200 resolution from the VGA output. Even though there are multiple ports on this adapter, it can only convert one format at a time and will not work for multi-monitor setups. Additionally, this adapter is bus powered, meaning it gains power from the DisplayPort source.

A DVI-I male connector, though, can only be used with a DVI-I female.I Hope this helps.
