It would be helpful if the description or specs gave the length so that we could make a more informed decision.

A: Just so you know, this works in conjunction with a case such as a Kinesis L622 PolyCore Long Lens Case 600 B&H # KIL622. That case, as is, is listed as being able to take a 400 f/2.8 lens plus camera. As such we do not think you need this insert for such a lens in that case.
