The 4 x 4" Cokin Z-Pro ND Filter 4x4 2-Stopfeatures a 4x filter factor that provides a 2-stop exposure reduction and is designed for use with a Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder. Its 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

Cokin NUANCES filters are constructed from tempered SCHOTT B270 glass and feature nano-metallic alloy film coatings on both sides of the filter surface to attenuate infrared light while maintaining true color fidelity, even when stacked with other Cokin NUANCES or NUANCES Extreme filters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the MRC worth the additional investment? I do have the 10 Stop MRC and 1 single coated 3 stop both are great.

A: There is an improvement. How much is hard to say. Whether or not is worth it, is a subjective question. We do not know your budget, how often you may use it, etc. If you are happy with current results, then perhaps not.

Q: 2. Would this fit my Nikon 24-70mm lens?

A: There are different version of the Nikon 24-70mm lens. the VR 2.8 and the Z 2.8s versions use these 82mm filters. The first generation 2.8 without VR will use 77mm filters. The 24-70mm F4s uses 72mm fitlers.

Q: 3. Is it really made in Japan like the picture shows?

A: Yes, this filter is made in Japan.

Q: 4. If I put a Moment 72mm VND filter(2 to 5-Stop) on a Sony Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS lens, will the vignetting appear at 16mm?

A: Yes vignetting is likely to appear since Moment 72mm Variable Neutral Density 0.6 to 1.5 Filter is thick and that lens is very wide and if you are using that lens on a full frame camera.

Q: 5. Will this fit my Leica Q? I saw someone say that it wouldnt fit the leica 28mm lens.

A: Yes, the Leica Q takes a 49mm filter, so this will fit.

Q: 6. Can these be stacked?

A: You can not stack variable ND filters.

Q: 7. What is the weight in grams of just the filer itself (no lens cap)?

A: The K&F Concept Nano X-Pro HD Variable ND2-400 Filter (82mm) weighs about 1.6 ounces which is about 45 grams.

Q: 8. will it work with the nisi v6 holder?

A: The K&F Concept X-Pro Square ND64 Filter with Frame (100x100) is not compatible with the NiSi V6 Filter Holder. This item is designed for use with the X-Pro Square Filter Holder System.

Q: 9. Will this fit onto a Moment lens 62mm Filter Mount?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. Can two of the Hoya 49mm Neutral Density (NDX8) 0.9 be stacked for additional density?

A: Yes you could... but I would not. That is extra glass surface to catch light and cause distortion and reflection. If this was an expensive lens with perfect coatings... what I caution you on would not be an issue. I would not.

[Single Coated] I have owned the Cokin System since 1978 when it was first introduced. I used to use regular circular ND Filters. I upgraded my Nikon Camera and decided it was time to update my filters as well. I first bought the Cokin system as I had lenses with different Lense Threads. This was a perfect option to this problem. From what I can tell this filter is the same as my older filters they have not change one bit.
