Q: 10. so if i only have 20 faders does this mean i can only mix 20 channels at a time

A: Channels 9-32 are grouped in stereo pairs, so just one fader per pair. You can also set fader groups, so if you're doing a live mix you can have, say, the drum kit mics in a group and then control overall volume with a single fader.

[3.1 lb] I selected this headphone amplifier for my home studio after comparing many alternatives for one primary reason: Discrete, balanced inputs for all signals. Even though my snake from control room to studio is only 50 feet, it is enough to pick up line frequency hum for units with unbalanced inputs. The Tascam MH-8 has individual, Left/Right balanced inputs for 2 shared and 8 individual channel inputs which gives enormous flexibility on the back-side patch panel. Having 8 output channels is also an advantage vs the more typical 6 since most computer interfaces and mixers have groups of 8 channels for more of me use. The sound quality is very good, clean and dominated by the quality of the headphones used. I'll be picking up a 2'nd unit, chaining the 2 common inputs, and adding 8 more discrete inputs. I'm very satisfied with this unit.

[21 x 5.5 x 4.9"] I am always wanting to eliminate any link in my audio chain that will compromise any loss of signal.Saying that, If you were to see my studio, you would understand. Its still a home studio though, and to spend a large amount of money on a cable snake thats 5' long, I had to take time and think about it.After reading the spec on the cable and trying to look closely at the picture supplied, I decided, why not.I can see where the money has gone.No effort has been spared to construct this cable, its very robust, completely shielded and apart from dragging it behind a car for 40 miles, its definitely a once in a lifetime purchase.all cable ends both braided and then shrunk wrap coatings are as good as any top shelf cable I have, and if the specs are anything to go by, I'm yet to see any other cable of this type on the market that will match it.As with any signal path you still have to be mindful of what cables are running next to what, so I still don't run audio less than 150mm parallel to power and always cross at 90 degrees. My recording equipment gets moved around alot, so to have something that can handled regularly and not show signs of ware and tear is a big one. Although I have only had it for a short time, I reckon this cable will last as long as any I have.Well done to the crew at Mogami, well made.If you can afford it, you will only buy it once, thats worth considering.
