    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this work with a Graflex press camera?

A: This doesn't replace or substitute for the camera back. A Graflock back is needed for use with this adapter. If a Graflock back works with the press camera this adapter will work.

Q: 2. Will this device fit the Tachihara 4x5 Field camera?

A: It depends on the rear standard locking mechanism your Tachihara has. If its the standard Graflok (a sliding plate on the top and bottom) it will work. Send a picture of your rear standard minus the groundglass if you can for us to check.

Q: 3. Can this adapter be used on all Rollei 6000 series lenses?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Rollei 6000 Pro Lens Adapter can be used on all Rollei 6000 lenses.

    Q: 4. This works with a Sinar F2?

A: The FotodioX Pro Canon EOS Large Format 4 x 5 Adapter is not compatible with the Sinar F2.

Q: 5. Would this work to attach the Tamron 100-400 Nikon f to the Canon 6D? Thanks!

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon G-Type F-Mount Lens to Canon EOS Camera would allow a Tamron 100-400mm lens with a Nikon F mount to fit the Canon EOS 6D.

Q: 6. Can this connect a Canon RP mount too Sony A7ii camera mount?

A: This Fotodiox Pro Mount Adapter is only for connecting a Canon EF lenses to a Sony E mount body.

Q: 7. Is this a full adapter (meaning full bellows, mount, back etc.) for a camera or just a back and I have to have a large format camera to use with it?

A: This is just a adapter/back. You will need to have a large format camera to use with it. It is compatible with Cambo, Linhof, Calumet, Horseman, Omega, Toyo, and Kodak with a Graflok back

Q: 8. What are the limitations of the adapter when it comes to using tilts and shifts?

A: Tilts and shifts will be extremely limited because of the tunnel vision effect it will have. The the recessed imaging sensor of the DSLR system, by design, will severely restrict any off axis positioning of the camera. Similar to holding an empty paper towel roll up to your eye and looking through it. BTW, this particular product MUST be used on a camera that has a 180 degree ROTATING Graphlock back. It will not work on the old Speed or Crown Graphic cameras. Enter an answer to this question.

    Q: 9. This works with a Sinar P?

A: It works with any camera that will accept Graphic style film back accessories. It's sort of an industry standard so, if I were a betting man ..... And BTW, you'll love your images! HUGE!

Q: 10. What LF camera is featured in the photos with the adapter?

A: While we cannot conclusively confirm, based on appearances, it seems to be a Horseman 4X5 monorail camera (possibly the 45LX).

[FUJIFILM X] This $10 adapter opens a whole new world (or rather old world) of lenses to be used on your EF camera. Solidly made and very easy to install... and now you can experiment with numerous vintage eastern European and Japanese lenses. Highly recommended!

[FUJIFILM X] I use a Canon60D in a remote camera trap. I want the (more modern) camera, but not the modern lenses, which tend to respond slowly and lose (focus) settings over time. This adapters allows me to use older, manual, Nikkor lenses in my sets. The apapter is solid metal, and fits both the EOS camera mount and Nikkor lenses well, with no slop, and no excess tightness. Based on experience with first one, bought another for a second camera/lens pair

[Brass, Metal] As with the safety pin, this excellent adapter is simple but perfect! I so far have made three top-of-my-ability prints on a bottom of the line Swiss-Arca 4x5, using a Canon sensor (approx. 22 x 15 mm). Since the index markings on the face of the adapter presumably are for full frame sensors, I covered them with tape marked in cm and mm. My work flow:Set up the 4x5 as usual for filmRaise the back by less than 22 mmMount the DSLR with the image's long axis verticalExpose a frame, shift the DSLR less than 15 mm, repeat until row is doneLoosen the back and let is slide downExpose along this new rowUse Photoshop to stitch the imagesIssues:I had to remove the focusing glass on my 4x5. The lens-to-sensor distance is longer than it was for film. Consequently, depending on focal length, you may not be able to focus to infinity. Using the thin lens approximation and some reasonable (I hope) assumptions, I computed BALL PARK maximum focusable distances: offset refers to the distance from the (missing) ground glass to the new sensor. Since a camera lens is not a thin lens, these numbers should not be over-interpreted.FOCAL-LENGTH OFFSET FARTHEST-FOCUSmm mm m===================================240 1 58 4 15135 1 19 4 580 1 7 4 2

[Brass, Metal] This adapter fit my Pentax 42mm lens and Canon EOS DSLR perfectly. I was concerned it would not reach infinity since I plan to use the lens for widefield astrophotography it reached infinity perfectly.

[Brass, Metal] I used this to adapt a standard DSLR zoom lens to my Mallincam astronomical video camera for wide FoV use... The build quality is excellent and this will do the trick for many years to come

[FUJIFILM X] Well made with excellent fit and finish.
Using this to mount an old but expensive microscope lens to a Canon EOS M6. Will allow me to mount old 16mm film camera lenses as well cannot go wrong for the price.

[FUJIFILM X] Use on my old Nikkor lens to mount on EF cameras (Canon 5D, BMPCC 6K, Z Cam E2-F6). Holds the lens tightly, no wiggle, and feels secure.
