Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does it fits to the vista 45?

A: To our knowledge, the Fotodiox Pro Hasselblad V Large Format 4x5 adapter has only been tested on Cambo, Linhof, Calumet, Horseman, Omega, Toyo, and Kodak 4x5 cameras with Graflok backs.

Q: 2. Hello!! This article helps me to ride my Hasselblad camera lens in my Mamiya 645DF +?

A: Yes, the adapter is compatible with Hasselblad V mount lenses and Mamiya 645 mount cameras.

Q: 3. What's the lens crop factor ?Any lens vignette ?Is there a lens lock switch to prevent lens falling out of the adapter ?

A: I would suggest dropping crop factor. Calculating what the Angle of View is for a format you are not using does not make sense if you do it all the time. It is far better to learn what the mm lengths are for normal-wide-tele for the sensor you are using. Since the mm of a lens does not physically, change you can then tell at a glance what the perspective will be. But to answer your question, since you are going from a larger film format 63 x 63mm, to a smaller digital format, 43.8 x 32.9mm, the perspective change, or crop factor is 1.4. Lens vignetting will depend on the lens. The wider you go the greater the chance. However, we do not know offhand of any lens that would vignette with this set up. Finally, as in all lens mounts that are not screw-in, there is a catch you must release in order to dismount the lens.

Q: 4. I have used this with a 80mm c, 50mm distagon c chrome and 250mm c chrome. All seem to have back focus. Is that possible?

A: The FotodioX Hasselblad V Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter is a manual adapter. Meaning you focus manually and has no autofocus ability. It does not make sense with a back focus issue.

Q: 5. If you are filming video with a Vmount Hasselblad lens using this adapter on a Canon camera how do you manage the shutter speed on the lens? Does it wear out the shutter if it's firing? Or are you able to just keep the shutter open when you're filming?

A: The FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Hasselblad V Lens to Canon EF-Mount Camera would keep the shutter open on a Hasselblad V-system lens.

Q: 6. Does the Hasselblad V lens need to be stopped down manually to the desired aperture before pressing the camera shutter? The V lens also need to be cocked before taking the shot, correct ?Any detailed usage instructions would be appreciated.

A: Its a nice quality adapter in terms of materials, but it is not a smart adapter in terms of technology. You dont need to cock it but you have to adjust your aperture manually and the use the GFX curtain shutter.

Q: 7. do you attach adapter to pentax645 z first OR you attach Hasselblad lens to the adaptor.?

A: attach lens to adapter first!

Q: 8. If The CFV II 50C digital back fits a film Hasselblad, will This adapter hold the digital Hassel back on to a 4x5 large format camera?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Hasselblad V Large Format 4x5 Adapter is compatible with the Hasselblad CFV II 50C back.

Q: 9. Will it adapt a Hasselblad 80mm lens to a D7000 with full focus range

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Adapter for Hasselblad V Lens to Nikon F-Mount Camera will allow you to use a Hasselblad 80mm lens on a Nikon D7000 with the ability to focus to infinity.

Q: 10. is this adaptor compatible for cf 80mm lens for Canon EOS 5D mark ii -G?

A: No. Unless you have a Nikon F mount to canon EF adapter. I recently bought this adapter and was disappointed with the results. Just buy the canon 85mm 1.8 lens

[0.575 lb] Mounts my V System Hasselblad lenses to my GFX 50S seamlessly. The tripod collar is a plus. Instantly gives me two purposes for my high quality hasselblad lenses.

[0.575 lb] I live in Australia, fast delivery from B&H. The pro mount adaptor is very well made, it will not work with my Hasselblad 80mm lens, will not focus. The other lines the 250mm the 150mm and the 50mm all work well on my Nikon D810. Its good for the money brings old lens back into use.

[Metal, Brass] Adapter fits well on Nikon D700 (not too tight or loose); fits well on Hasselblad CF 120 mm and CF 80 mm. Infinity focus seems to function as well as my equipment. With manual focus, will show adjustment up to and very slightly beyond infinity.

[0.575 lb] Have one of these and although the other reviews are 1 star I have had no problem in attaching and locking both the adapter to the camera (907x) and the lens (250mm Hasselblad) to the adapter. I bought mine from B&H I believe in 2019.

[Metal, Brass] I just submitted an erroneous review and would like to rescind it, please.

I wrote that I was unable to use the adapter on the bottom half of my Chamonix 4x5 camera and I was wrong. I forgot to take into account that the camera back can be rotated thus solving my dilemma.

I apologize for this and I am hopeful that the review can be taken down.

[0.575 lb] I have some lenses laying around in the studio from my Hasselblad film days. I never got around to selling them when they were still worth something and then I changed to digital a few years ago and now use Sony for small format (A900 + A99 + 7R) and Leica S for medium format. Then I figured I might as well use these old Hasselblad lenses not he Sonys and bought this adapter. As I am using my cameras manually anyway this adaptor works a treat and there is nothing wrong with the old Hasselblad lenses from a sharpness, colour rendition and covering circle point of view. Great piece of gear and all worth the small investment.

[Metal, Brass] I am using this adapter combining a Carl Zeiss Makro Planar 5.6 135 with bellows to my Nikon D810. For my purpose it is working great. The fit to both the camera and lens - in my case the bellows is firm and secure.

[Metal, Brass] I wasn't sure what to expect with this adapter, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's very well made, solid, and works great. No complaints so far. Because I worry about every little thing, I did take the step of removing every screw and putting some Loctite blue on each, just for peace of mind. Now I have complete confidence I will never have a problem. I think this adapter is worth the money, and will work well for many years.
