The camera mount coupling adapter and lens mount coupling adapter can be used independently of the extension tubes or you can add in the tubes for extreme macro photography. Because no other optical components are added with this kit, the image preserves the original optical properties of the lens.

This tube set includes a lens-coupling ring and a body-coupling ring; three extension tubes of various sizes are also included to build up to the desired magnification. Life size image can be achieved with this set up.

Attach the lens to the extension tube, then mount onto camera the same way a lens normally does. Each ring brings you closer to the subject as you increase the distance between lens and camera. Different lens lengths will require a different distance to be used from the subject. If the subject is not in focus move the camera closer or further from the subject until the subject comes into focus.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Could you put a adapter on the end for a Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 and use it to scan film on sony e mount cameras?

A: It will work but I would advise getting an adapter with an adjustable aperture ring or if the lens itself has an aperture ring you can control.

Q: 2. Can i use this tube with a Nikon f D3400?

A: Yes, it is compatible with any Nikon DSLR.

Q: 3. Is it compatible with fuji XT3?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the XT3.

Q: 4. Will this set work with the Canon 70D?

A: Yes it will. Fotodiox lists this as compatible with the Canon 70D.

Q: 5. Is it compatible with Fuji XT2?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the XT2.

Q: 6. Will this connect to an FTZ adapter? Even if there is no electrical connections.

A: Yes it will , with no electronic connection it means you would have to do everything manually (focus and aperture control ) assuming your lenses are D line ore manual F mount not G type

Q: 7. Will this work with a Canon 80d? That's the only camera I don't see on the list.

A: The FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Set for Canon EOS (EF, EF-S) Cameras: for Extreme Close-Up Photography will work with all EF, and EF-S lenses, and will connect to cameras using the Canon EOS EF, or EF-S lenses. There are some newer cameras that are not on the compatibility list, such as the Canon 70D, 80D, 7D mark II, the 6D, mark II, and 5D mark IV among others. These cameras are not listed because the extension tube set became available before some of these canon cameras were available, and the list is not complete at all.

Q: 8. Does the lens retain autofocus?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Automatic Macro Extension Tube for L-Mount Cameras (35mm) supports autofocus and auto exposure.

Q: 9. Will these work with EF-S STM lenses?

A: The FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Set for Canon EOS (EF, EF-S) can mount a EF-S STM. But everything will be manual. Focusing and Aperture control will be all manual. With a Canon lens you would not be able to control the aperture at all. And whether you can focus the lens while on the extension tubes will depend on the specific lens you are using. Some lenses need to be attached directly to the camera to have focus control. For automatic Focus and Aperture control I would look at the FotodioX Pro Auto Macro Extension Tube Kit for Canon EF & EF-S Lenses linked here. https://bhpho.to/34CeJZN

Q: 10. I assume these various tubes screw together to form one long extension tube. Are the screw threads a 52mm thread as you would find in a standard filter? Or do the tubes use a bayonet to join together instead of a screw thread?

A: These are bayonet Nikon f mount

[0.25 lb] I didn't know it until I received them, but these screw together rather than using normal lens type connectors, making an absolutely solid tube. This makes them much more suitable for extreme macro use in my opinion. I don't think that was noted in the description.

[0.25 lb] Works well. You can get the magnification needed by adding more or less rings.

[Aluminum] Excellent price for quality extension tubes. Important to understand that no autofocusing will be available, but at that close range manual focusing is best to use anyway.
