Technology has changed and Nickel Cadmium batteries can no longer be trickle charged or heated during the charging process.

Q: 1. Does this adapter do the same job as Mola Speed Ring for Elinchrom ? According to the manufacturer, Mola beauty dishes are compatible with Speedotron speed ring and I though that maybe Speedotron and Norman speed rings are the same.

A: Unfortunately, this product does not work with the Mola Beauty Dishes. The appropriate ring for Speedotron flash heads to a Mola Beauty Dish is the Mola Speed Ring for Speedotron B&H # MOSRS. Please see the image.

Q: 2. Is this pack compatible with the older L-2400 heads?

A: Yes, this power pack is backwards compatible with the Norman LH2400 flash heads.

Q: 3. Can this be charged with a Delta V charger?

A: Hi. I have Norman 200B and 200C packs. Both take Super batteries and I charge both with Delta V chargers, but using different cables. So I would say yes in answer to your question.

A: The Chimera Octaplus Speed Ring for Norman IL2500 will allow you to mount octagonal, rectangular, or square-shaped softboxes to the flash heads in the Norman D24R Pack, 4- IL2500 Head/Reflector Kit.

I did buy an used Norman flash. it did come with the super batteries.the charger is the model delta V charger (Norman c55x2)I read on B&H that the super batteries are not compatible with the old Norman's grey Thermometric charger are they compatible with my model? my model is black, but it is not the newest model.regards, Felix

A: This unit has a captive mount and is not compatible with a Solix.

A: The old Norman batteries were lead acid. And the old charger is not compatible with the new NiCad batteries.

[3 Hours] Pops open like an umbrella which is great for quick setup and tear down. I keep the diffusion material velcro-ed on all the time and un-velcro just enough to set up/collapse. Very large source, soft wrap around subjects. 5

[1.4 lb] I've been using 400B's and a 200B for over thirty years. They've taken a tremendous amount of abuse (falling over, breaking flash tubes, etc.) and keep on flashing. I once tried an off brand battery but the recycle time seemed slower. This Norman battery is the best way to go. 5

[3 Hours] These reflectors work great with the 200C, 200B, and 400B power packs and lamps. It's like having a portable studio flash with modifiers. The light is clean and it lights up the entire area with hardly any fall-off. They are a little expensive, but well worth it. 5
