Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this adapter make it possible to capture full frame still images on a Nikon Z6/Z7?

A: Yes.

Q: 2. Is there much of a difference between this one and the other one (#FOPLMAL39289) listed for $14.99 on B&H?

A: This Pro version of the Fotodiox adapters has enhanced craftsmanship and high-tolerance construction for precise fit and solid connection, precision all-metal construction with chrome-plated brass for secure and solid fit. While the cheaper standard adapter does not come with these guarantees and is made of hardened anodized aluminum instead.

Q: 3. Hello, Would this adapter allow an Industar 61 to be mounted on a Sony a6400?

A: This M39/L39 adapter would be a better choice: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1566298-REG/fotodiox_m39_snye_lens_mount_adapter_for.html

Q: 6. Does the m39 thread fit a Leica enlarging lens?

A: Fit-wise: the e39 thread should be no problem for using Leica enlarging lens. If remember correctly, enlarging lenses are e39 thread & they should mate with the adapter. Question is how you plan use it on a Nikon body with or without bellow (& which bellow) is another matter.

A: Yes, it should work with a 50mm lens for that purpose.

[3.1 x 3 x 0.8"] So happy that there is finally an adapter that leaves the index at 12 o'clock. It was the one issue that has bothered me when mounting a Leica thread mount lens to an M body. Be sure to screw the lens on completely, or the index will be off by a hair. It's a well made product that feels like it will last for years.

[0.045 lb] The adapter fits perfectly. A great way to get extra mileage out of legacy equipment.

Be sure to set the function on the EOSM menu to allow the camera to release the shutter w/o lens.

[3.1 x 3 x 0.8"] I used this for older lenses that will, at times, get slightly stuck or will not grip the lens enough for easy on / off to the M- mount. Works very well.

[Nikon F] Good quality adapter, and important to me, lines up the LTM lens perfectly on my Leica M Cameras

[Nikon F] After seeing a YouTube video about them, I purchased some Soviet-era Industar lenses to try on my Nikon D850. Given how few M39/L39 to F mount adapters there are, I just clicked the buy button when I saw this, not reading the description fully. As the description notes, this adapter is MACRO ONLY and does NOT support focusing to infinity. At first I thought the lens was broken (though it did take some lovely macro photos), and then I checked the product description again. So, for what it is supposed to do, it works very well. The ring is very, very slim, barely adding any thickness between the lens and the camera body. It's machined metal, feels solid, and I imagine I'll get a decent amount of use out of it when I do macro photography, now that I know what it's for. Having been happy with this, I'm going to purchase FotodioX's other M39/L39 to F mount adapter so I can use my Industar lenses as intended.

[3.1 x 3 x 0.8"] I LOVE FotodioX adapter and this was my fourth. I bought it to mount a classic Canon 50mm 1.2 LTM rangefinder lens on my Fuji X-Pro1. And when I first did so, the camera wouldn't focus on anything at any distance! But I remembered that I had purchased the lens and its attached Canon VI-T body at a yard sale long ago... and knew nothing about its usage history. So I compared my lens with Google Images and noticed that someone at some time must have opened the lens to clean its common rear-element fogging, and didn't reatach everything properly. So I found instructions on the web, took it apart , put it back together, and it works great! Moral of the story: If one of the awesome FotodioX adapters doesn't work properly for you, also research your lens. It might be the culprit!

[0.045 lb] Solid satisfying build. Bought 2 for some lenses I inherited, 90mm, 85mm, 50mm, 35mm. Mounts great to my 5DMkIV but the lenses are too far from the sensor. Basically like mounting an extension tube when using with a DSLR body
