Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does anybody know if you can use the auto focus 645 pentax lens to be electronically connected via an adapter to a nikon D800 SLR? I will be grateful for any help. Thanks, John Dufton

A: There is no electronic connectivity between Pentax AF lenses and a Nikon digital body with this adapter. Manual focus and manual exposure control. If you chose this route, you're going old-school so be prepared to miss a few shots unless you're stopped down for a wider DOF.

Q: 2. I see the 5d Mark III is not listed in the compatible cameras, can it work with this adapter?

A: The 5D Mark III is actually listed. See above^

Q: 3. is this adaptor compatible for cf 80mm lens for Canon EOS 5D mark ii -G?

A: No. Unless you have a Nikon F mount to canon EF adapter. I recently bought this adapter and was disappointed with the results. Just buy the canon 85mm 1.8 lens

Q: 4. Hi, Any ideas if this will fit a MIRANDA 24mm f2.8 for an old Olympus? (to a Nikon D90 camera)I have tried a simple Nikon to OM adapter ring, and it has the wrong screw hole spacing and no recess in the collar for the lens removal trigger.

A: No, that adapter is not compatible with the D90.

Q: 5. Can K mount lens compatible with this adapter?

A: No, if you trying to mount pentax k mount lenses on a canon body this is the adaptor you need: https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1198967-REG/ target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1198967-REG//a However This specific adapter is only compatible with EF-S-type camera bodies due to how far back the rear element sits in the body, which could cause damage to larger EF camera systems. Additionally, it is a purely mechanical attachment and will not transmit information such as aperture or autofocus signals.

Q: 6. I see a question below about a 40mm maintaining the same focal length with this 1.4x adapter. though the focal length is the same, does the adapter affect the angle of view?

A: Yes, you're right; That answer says the focal length is maintained. As such, the field of view would also remain the same.

Q: 7. How do I remove the glass element from the fotodiox miranda to nikon lens adapter? Just curious that's all.

A: The glass is held in place by a retention ring which can be unscrewed. It's best if you use a lens cloth and grab onto the glass on either side of the adapter, then rotate the adapter to unscrew it. The retention rings are in place rather tightly so it will take some force to unscrew them at first.

Q: 8. Hi, just wondering if this adaptor would work on my Nikon d5500 body? Thanks

A: Lens adapter did not work for my camera. I have Nikon D3200. although the lenses fit to the camera my camera did not recognize that there was actually a lens attached. Having the lens adapter did not work even in manual mode. So looking forward to using my Pentax lens again but I just can't make my camera recognize the lens so it can't focus.

Q: 9. Sirve para nikon d5100

A: Si es compatible con la d 5100

Q: 10. Can use for Canon 60d,5D ?? And.. focus infinity?

A: I had issues with the Cannon to Nikon mount everything was dark.

[Nikon 1] This adaptor fits my Sony camera making it possible to use the old and wonderful Konica lenses my dad had.

[0.22 lb] Came quicker than it was supposed to. I like it because you can easily use it between multiple lenses . I have one for pentax and need a flat small screwdriver to remove. This Nikon has a easy red button like a normal lens to remove.

[0.22 lb] This adapter lets me use my late Grandfathers Konica lenses with my Canon bodies, without quality loss. Many Konica adapters don't let you reach infinity or have some other downside, but thanks to the corrective glass, you can use the full range of the lenses.

One downside, if you are on something like a T3i, you will notice a haze with certain lenses, but anything full frame you will be fine.

The customer service is awesome. I purchased this mount last year, and thanks to the 2 year warranty, they answered my request of a broken spring withing minutes of me submitting the ticket, got my shipping info and order confirmation email, and sent me a new one in the mail. Its nice to feel so taken care of.

[Nikon 1] I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was very well made and seems sturdy. I don’t know why, but I expected it to be the same type of plastic that some Canon lenses are made from, but it’s actually metal and very well built. It works just fine on my Canon 70D with Konica AR Bellows setup and also when directly attaching a few Konica Hexanon AR lenses which include a 300mm f4.5, 80-200mm f3.5, 50mm f1.7, and 35mm f2.8... The 35mm and 50mm have slight softening at wide open apertures on my 70D camera body, but it’s pretty nice in my opinion. The softening is not there when I use them reversed in the bellows for macro shots. I’ll take that minor issue on those two lenses in exchange for being able to use all four of these lenses directly on my DSLR especially the two small lenses on my old school macro setup with the 70D body. My Konica 80-200mm and 300mm are awesome on this setup with no problems whatsoever. I’ll be doing some bird and wildlife photography this weekend and pixel peeping in Darktable just to verify the sharpness, but so far (judging from zoomed images on back of camera) everything seems legit. I’ll post again if it ain’t sweetness!!! Seriously... For less than 40 fazoolies it’s dope as heck!!!

I’m an avid 35mm film shooter ( even in 2018) and have a nice collection of Konica Autoreflex bodies and lenses that I’ve refurbished and truly enjoy, this little jobbie gives me the double pleasure of adding those Konica lenses to an expanding love for digital capture as well. Plus, it engages my creativity and my images can stand out from the cookie cutter crowd of images floating around the ether!!!! I hope...

I WILL purchase again... I’ll get all the “other brand” to Canon adapters from this manufacturer then start buying old lenses for my 70D.

[0.22 lb] The thickness of the adapter was within + or - 0.0015 (0.04 mm) which made for sharp images at all 4 corners. Keep in mind that the adapter effectively increases the focal length of the lens by about 1.4x.

[Nikon 1] First of all, here is the equipment I used to test it: Nikon D7000 (16MP), Nikon 18-200mm VR (not VRII), Konica 80-200mm f/4.0, tripod, and Vello wireless release. Summary: Definitely worth the money. Test Technique - I mounted the D7000 on a tripod and used a Vello wireless shutter release to reduce any shake. I focused the camera manually using a loupe on the display with the display zoomed to maximum. The subject was a tree about 100 yards away. I focused on the leaves. I set the Konica lense to 140mm to give an equivalent zoom length of 200mm (taking into account the adapter's lense) and compared this shot to the same shot using Nikon lense set to 200mm. I then opened the raw images in Photoshop and zoomed to 400% where I could see individual pixels. After careful examination, I could see no noticeable difference in the two shots. I looked at the sharpness of the leaf edges and chromatic aberrations about 1/3 out from the center of the images. I realize that chromatic aberrations and sharpness issues will be more obvious at the image edges, but the best spot to examine the leaves was not at an edge. Also, the D7000 is only 16 megapixels which limits how far you can take my test results, but in you have an AR lense you want to use, the cost of this adapter is a whole lot cheaper than buying a new lense. Two gripes I have are the adapter came with a front cap but camera body cap. That makes no sense since either side on the adapter lense can be damaged! Also the pouch could be made out of better feeling material, especially considering it ships with only one side capped. However, I have an extra body cap so I'm using it on the adapter. But I'm buying it for the adapter, not two caps and a bag so I'll keep it. It just gives a sense of cheapness that isn't really deserved.

[Nikon 1] This item, adapting my manual AR (Konica/Adaptall2-K/R) lenses to my Nikon D5100, is a perfect and secure fit. I was surprised that it even came in its own soft case (really saves stuff from damage in a full camera case!). Since I am using it for long distance terrestrial and astronomy application it couldn't be better! (Well, that being said, I wouldn't mind it being a little larger in outside diameter and knurled, but those would only help cosmetically because my lenses are so large).
