This unmanaged switch features eight 10/100 Mb/s Fast Ethernet ports with four PoE-complaint ports that can be manually configured using the integrated DIP switches. Setting the switches from "Standard" to "Extend" mode allows the 30W ports to transmit power to devices up to 656' away with a 10 Mb/s transfer speed, making it ideal for surveillance and other long-distance installations. [70 W] My old switch (another brand and the only non Netgear switch) failed. Looked at several models and settled on this one. PoE is a nice plus but I don't have a need or it right now but it is a nice feature to have. Devices connect and buzz the internet with no problems. No complaints 5

[5.0 W] I replaced an older non-POE switch with this model, and added a couple POE devices to it. Everything up and running in a moment. One thing to be aware of is the power supply for this switch is big and weighs more than the switch itself. This to be expected as it power over a 100W of POE devices. 5

[30 W] I needed a fanless ethernet switch with PoE+ for cameras and WiFi access points. This does the job well. I like that all ports can do PoE and that the unit is small. It comes with mounting screws and even rack mount ears. 5
