Turning on Data Extend mode allows the 30W port to transmit power to devices such as security cameras at up to 656' away with a 10 Mb/s transfer speed.

Ports can be isolated from each other using the DIP switches, helping to prevent camera multicast or broadcast storms form affecting each other.

Activating this DIP switch ensures that video and voice traffic gets first priority on the the network.

Simply connect an Ethernet cable or PoE-enabled device to the ES-1008PH V2 and you're ready to go. The ports are able to automatically detect whether IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet-compliant devices are connected.

[70 W] My old switch (another brand and the only non Netgear switch) failed. Looked at several models and settled on this one. PoE is a nice plus but I don't have a need or it right now but it is a nice feature to have. Devices connect and buzz the internet with no problems. No complaints

[Metal] This switch was purchased for the PoE+ feature. I don't need all of the management features - just a simple network connection that is able to supply power to the end devices. It's working great.

[1.6 Gb/s ] Well designed, rugged. Does what it says it will. Love the power output.

[5.0 W] I replaced an older non-POE switch with this model, and added a couple POE devices to it. Everything up and running in a moment.

One thing to be aware of is the power supply for this switch is big and weighs more than the switch itself. This to be expected as it power over a 100W of POE devices.

[30 W] I needed a fanless ethernet switch with PoE+ for cameras and WiFi access points. This does the job well. I like that all ports can do PoE and that the unit is small. It comes with mounting screws and even rack mount ears.
