The Aladdin Micro LED Bi-Flex Bi-Color M3 Panelfrom Aladdin Micro LED Bi-Flex Bi-Color M3 Panelis a unique light source that allows you to bend it into a shape that conforms to your subject matter. The literally flexible 11.8 x 4.7" light mat can be twisted into a u-shape for wraparound lighting, shaped into a cylinder for rim lighting, or used for long, elegant highlights on glassware or other reflective objects. Its light weight, negligible heat, and thickness of only 0.5" means you can squeeze it into tight places or use it up close to the talent without fear of hazard.

The Micro LED Bi-Flex Bi-Color is also functionally flexible. Color temperature is variable from 3000 to 6000K with a high CRI of 97, and the light is dimmable from 0 to 100%. It is ready for worldwide use via the optional 100-240 VAC universal adapter but it will also run on optional V-mount or Gold mount batteries when mains power is unavailable.

This listing is for the LED mat only. It requires a power adapter and dimmer, or battery plate for use.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work in both 120-volt or 240-volt countries? So USA vs UK or Europe? I know it runs off a V-Locks but are there any parts that only work in certain countries like a charging cable or to run off mains?

A: It can be used on 90-240v any where in the world.

Q: 2. The title says Bi-Color but the sku is for the Colored Light. Which one is it?

A: The Title says Bi-Color RGB. It is capable of colored lights red, blue, green as well as a warm to cool 2900-6200 tungsten-daylight spread.

Q: 3. is there a controller that gives you a readout of where you are on the dimmer or what color temperature the light is set to?

A: You can actually control the output and color via the Aladdin mobile app, by which the intensity of both can be viewed.

Q: 4. how would one of these compare in light out put of say a kinoflo T44?

A: According to Kino Flo, a single T44 tube is 3080 lux at 1 meter while GVM shows the 896S as 10,000 at 1m.

Q: 5. Can this run off a single 14.4V battery?

A: Yes you can. The panel will draw 140W and with the D-Tap accessory cable (ALL-DTAB), the light can be powered from a 14.4V battery with a D-Tap outlet. A 100W battery will power it for less than and hour while a 150W would power it for an hour at full brightness.

Q: 6. Does the All IN 2 Bi color RGB works with a gold mount Dimmer plate from Aladdin? Don't see this AKS on your website, not clear if it's compatible.

A: You will need to buy an adapter plate from V-mount to Gold mount SHAPE Gold Mount to V-Mount Regulated Battery Converter B&H # SHGVRPC

Q: 7. Would it attach to Westcott Flex 1x1? They look exactly the same in size.

A: No it will not fit.

Q: 8. Does this have plus minus green?

A: This product does not contain a plus or minus green filtration.

Q: 9. Are the All In 2 panels flexible like the Bi-Flex 2 model? Can it roll into a cylinder?

A: The panel is flexible and can be rolled.

Q: 10. Does this come with a dimmer and power supply?

A: This would be the LED panel alone. The Aladdin Bi-Flex1 Bi-Color Kit B&H # ALAM50BIKIT would include the panel with the dimmer and power supply. Please see the image below.

[0.285 lb] I think what I loved most about these lights is their practicality. The bi-color light they put off is decently bright for smaller projects in smaller locations. The batteries provided in this setup are great so far. I've used them for a long 6 hour shoot with almost constant power and they lasted. Would recommend for anyone needed an affordable and decent softbox light option.

[CRI 97] Im a wedding photographer, and I use these mostly for nighttime shoots. They are a nice alternative to my strobes. Plus clients are loving that we can get some good end-of-the-night portraits.

[30 W ] We use these with our new FX9 and found them to be the most color accurate panels out there. We’ve tried the bi colors as well as the RGBW versions and they are terrific. The app is solid and we started using them right away.

[0.285 lb] I own or have owned every light known to man. (ok, slight exaggeration). I currently have the Gemini Soft, Gemini Hard. and Kino Freestyle LEDs of a variety of sizes. Never mind Apurtures and Nanlites plus a few of them lightweight flexible led panels. But when I need a fast and simple setup, I always got back to these Astra Softs. And when I look at the image, I wonder why I went and bought all those other expensive fixtures. Just today I shot a multicamera interview for ABC's new show Impact with the U.S Attorney investigating the Matthew Perry case and because going thru security was so complicated and time was of essence, I chose to bring these lights instead. I loved the picture to much I wondered to myself why I keep buying these way more expensive fancy lights. And the beauty of these is that I can fly them with a micro 150 battery and because I rarely have to turn them up all the way, they will last the length of some of these long interviews no problem. I did notice on this thread some folks complaining about these lights failing them, and have heard similar complaints from other Astras too. I have never had any issues with these or my other Astras, but that's likely because I read the instructions that clearly state you should dim the lights all the way down before you turn them on, wait until the flashing green light stops flashing, and then dim up at your heart's desire. And always before I turn them off, I dim them down all the way, as not to forget. That might be the secret. I see people using them wrong all over the place.
