The Aladdin Micro LED Bi-Flex Bi-Color M7 Panelfrom Aladdin Micro LED Bi-Flex Bi-Color M7 Panelis a unique light source that allows you to bend it into a shape that conforms to your subject matter. The literally flexible 11.8 x 11.8" light mat can be twisted into a u-shape for wraparound lighting, shaped into a cylinder for rim lighting, or used for long, elegant highlights on glassware or other reflective objects. Its light weight, negligible heat, and thickness of only 0.2" means you can squeeze it into tight places or use it up close to the talent without fear of hazard.

The Micro LED Bi-Flex Bi-Color is also functionally flexible. Color temperature is variable from 2900 to 5600K with a high CRI/TLCI of 97, and the light is dimmable from 1 to 100%. It is ready for worldwide use via the optional 90-260 VAC universal adapter, but it will also run on optional V-mount or Gold mount batteries when mains power is unavailable.

This listing is for the LED mat only. It requires a power adapter or battery plate for use.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this come with a dimmer and power supply?

A: This would be the LED panel alone. The Aladdin Bi-Flex1 Bi-Color Kit B&H # ALAM50BIKIT would include the panel with the dimmer and power supply. Please see the image below.

Q: 2. is there a controller that gives you a readout of where you are on the dimmer or what color temperature the light is set to?

A: You can actually control the output and color via the Aladdin mobile app, by which the intensity of both can be viewed.

Q: 3. Will this work in both 120-volt or 240-volt countries? So USA vs UK or Europe? I know it runs off a V-Locks but are there any parts that only work in certain countries like a charging cable or to run off mains?

A: It can be used on 90-240v any where in the world.

Q: 4. Does this kit have plus minus green? Is this unit app control able?

A: The ballast only controls the color from tungsten to daylight.

Q: 5. how would one of these compare in light out put of say a kinoflo T44?

A: According to Kino Flo, a single T44 tube is 3080 lux at 1 meter while GVM shows the 896S as 10,000 at 1m.

Q: 6. Where is the power cord for this model on your website?

A: The following unit comes with a AC power supply 6ft cable, but the light can also run on optional NP-F Sony-style batteries.

Q: 7. Does the All IN 2 Bi color RGB works with a gold mount Dimmer plate from Aladdin? Don't see this AKS on your website, not clear if it's compatible.

A: You will need to buy an adapter plate from V-mount to Gold mount SHAPE Gold Mount to V-Mount Regulated Battery Converter B&H # SHGVRPC

Q: 8. How many lux at 5 feet (1.5m)?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer only provides a lumens rating of 10800 and they not specify at which distance this measurement was taken.

Q: 9. Why is this called Bi-Color RGB?, can it do RGB?

A: The Aladdin ALL IN 2 Bi-Color RGB LED Panel Basic Kit is called Bi-Color RGB because it's color temperature ranges from 2900-6200K and it has RGB Color Control. This light is capable of doing both.

Q: 10. Does this have the same out put as your standard bi color 2x1?

A: This is a 140w LED. There is no standard for power output on a 2x1.

[70 W ] This lighting package is far and away better than I thought it would be! Easy to use, easy to set presets and control these units in groups. I love the case for the lights and the remote control is a huge advantage for production lighting.

Get one of these quick!

[2900 to 5600K] Super easy to use Bi-Color LED Light. Bright, nice image quality and soft if you leave the diffusion on.

The controls are very easy to use.

[70 W ] For the money this kit is excellent.  You get everything you need for a decent portable studio.  Even a case to carry everything around.

The lights are well built with an all-metal housing protecting the LEDs.  The metal ribbed backing of the housing also works as a heat sink, therefore, no noisy cooling fans.  The control knobs and buttons feel solid and operate smoothly and the display is easy to read.  And, of course, the lights can be powered by either AC or batteries.  Batteries have to be purchased separately.

I heard some bad reviews about the included stands and I agree they are not the best, but they are more than adequate to hold the lights and they fold up neatly in the provided carrying case.

The barndoors are plastic but work nicely and hold their position.  They also protect the LEDs during storage and transport.

Two diffusers are provided for each panel.  One slides into the panel and the other is bracketed off the panel.  They do a decent job of softening the light.  Both are removable.  To use the bracketed diffuser the barndoors have to be removed.  Kind of a pain but least the option is there.

Carrying case is very well padded with individual padded compartments for each item.  Carrying straps are heavy duty and stitched along the sides of the case.

The wireless remote control works and is a nice accessory.  It is a little slow in changing the temperature and brightness but if you need to remotely control a panel, it better to have one than not at all.

Overall, this is great lighting kit.  I believe since it has been out on the market for a while the price has gone down which makes it an even greater bargain.  I would highly recommend this kit.

[2900 to 5600K] This light has a ridiculously bright output. The quality of light with the softbox attached is **chef's kiss**! The entire package, from the case to the components feels incredibly well made.

[2900 to 5600K] Im a wedding photographer, and I use these mostly for nighttime shoots. They are a nice alternative to my strobes. Plus clients are loving that we can get some good end-of-the-night portraits.

[70 W ] I noticed that the other reviews were for a single light or two, but this review is for the full kit, because I truly believe this product is the sum of its parts.

In ordering the full kit, everything came no problem (including the separately ordered batteries and battery charging docks - thanks B&H!). I was amazed (and initially concerned) how relatively small the box was, but WOW, everything fits in the one bag - including the stands!!! There was even room to put the batteries in there!

The lights are powerful (and completely silent), and they can talk to each other (via using the remote or changing settings on the lights themselves), and the variety and quality of diffusers, barn doors, etc is very impressive. The stands are great too, much stronger, yet lighter than a lot of cheaper light stands.

The only issue I can think of is that the DC power cords are a little shorter than I would have liked, so I highly recommend getting the Watson NP-F975 Two-Battery Kit with Duo LCD Charger (x 3 so you'll have a set for each light). The batteries are long-lasting and won't diminish the power.

All in all, this is an excellent light kit. And even though there are options to get 1 or 2 lights, I really think it's meant to be a full kit (right down to the way they package it), and that's where the remote control of the lights really works. So get the full kit, that way you'll get the most out of everything working together, which is clearly the point.

[Passive] I think what I loved most about these lights is their practicality. The bi-color light they put off is decently bright for smaller projects in smaller locations. The batteries provided in this setup are great so far. I've used them for a long 6 hour shoot with almost constant power and they lasted. Would recommend for anyone needed an affordable and decent softbox light option.
