Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this the same as the Bullet M2, but now covers both bands (2.4 and 5ghz)?

A: Yes, this is a dual band version of the MX, with updated software.

Q: 2. What distance does it cover, Does it can connect.in mobile.directly

A: The device only has a wifi channel for management and cannot supply wifi to mobile devices.

Q: 3. What is the maximum distance this will work at?

A: The NanoStation AC is rated for relatively short distances of 0-5 Km.

Q: 4. Point to Multi-Point, how wide is the "beam" at ~1,000'? How far apart can I place receivers to send and receive data back to the "base station". Will Nanostations on the remote locations work at this distance in this configuration?

A: Litebeam is a 1:1 bridge. You would need to use a LTU or AirMAX multipoint to have multiple receivers.

Q: 5. does this piece of equipment require additional equipment? If so what is it?

A: This requires connection to an uplinked ethernet router.

Q: 6. Whats the distance on these puppies?

A: According to the manufacturer its 15km+.

Q: 7. So whats the difference between this model and the ( air grid ) AG-HP-5G27 Does this model have the 30Km range and 27dbi ?

A: This model has 23db gain. In order for 30km of line of sight you would need to have a tower in the 250' high range.

Q: 8. None of the photos show a connection to AC power. Is there a standard three-prong recepticle plug on each end? (transmitter/receiver).

A: This type of antenna is best powered via PoE.

Q: 9. If a pair of these are setup as a bridge, will they use BOTH the 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz bands at the same time for maximum throughput?

A: Yes, installed as a bridge, the unit uses both bands simultaneously.

Q: 10. Do you have Omni directional antennas for these radios?

A: Yes, the rated antenna for the Ubiquiti Networks BULLETAC-IP67-US is https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1348248-REG/ubiquiti_networks_nbe_5ac_gen2_us_nanobeam_ac_gen2_airmax.html

[22 dBm] I am a big Unifi fan. I have setup many of these to out building. It's hard to believe you can get the high speeds I am achieving of over 300 mps.
Highly recommend these.
Setup needs to be a little more plug and play like the Unifi cameras, but there are many YouTube videos showing how to do this..

[2.4 GHz, 5 GHz] Purchased a pair of these antennas to expand my network from the house to a detached garage. I configured the IP addresses and SSID before mounting them and they connected right away. Installation was easy enough. I used 1.25 inch PVC pipe to run the cable through and clamp the antennas on. Network latency is great and I was able to repurpose an old router as a WAP and switch for my garage. Well worth the cost considering they both had PoE adapters included.

[22 dBm] They take a little getting used to for configuring, but work great after that. Have installed many over the years and they continue to impress as long as duplex networking is not required.
