The Atlona AT-RACK-1RU is a heavy duty, 1U rack shelf designed for installation of one or two Gain 120 (AT-GAIN-120) power amplifiers in an equipment rack. This rack shelf accessory is also ideal for side-by-side rack placement of many other Atlona products, including the SW Series switchers, HDVS-300 systems, Gain 60 (AT-GAIN-60) power amplifier, UHD-CAT Series DAs, and more.

Q: 1. What is the EXACT width of available space for the shelf? I have a Focusrite ISA One (8.66") and Roland JV1010 (8 5/8) that need to sit side by side.

A: The usable width on this shelf is about 17.2 inches wide. The equipment you asked about will be just too wide to fit side by side on this shelf.

Q: 2. Does this have threaded slots on the rails or just square punchouts? Do I need nuts?

A: No, neither. The rack rails for the Gator Frameworks Elite Series Furniture Desktop 4 RU Studio Rack have round holes for the rack screws, which are included along with washers. Nuts are not required to secure the rack screws and keep the equipment mounted in the rack.

Q: 3. What screws can I use to mount connectors?

A: You can use 4-40 x 3/8" or 4-40 x 1/2" screws with the TecNec 16-Port Unloaded D-Series XLR Rack Panel (1 RU).

Q: 4. Has anyone used this for a desk top rack and with Ubiquiti Security Gateway, switch 8, and Cloud Key Gen2 Plus?

A: Yes I have! If you'd like pictures mark I can provide them but works perfectly! I have a Ubiquiti Gateway, Gen2 Plus, 16 port switch, battery backup, and AP :)

A: This comes with a 1U , 2U and 3U shelf .

Q: 9. We have a wood cabinet that this would go in. The wood cabinet has no lock. I'd like to screw this down to the cabinet, can I do this?

A: Sure you can, as long as the wood cabinet is securely fastened to the wall. I actually bolt a piece of 1' thick plywood to the wall, and then I mount the racks to the plywood.

[Rack shelf] These racks hold up to 132 lbs. and are deep enough for the latest POE switches when a standard 16.5 deep rack will not do. You can put in a APC SUA1000RM2, Juniper EX4300-48P, 48 port patch panel. 5

[5.54 lb] The first one I received was dented on the front. I returned it to B&H and received a second that was dented on the side. Rather than return it, I contacted the manufacturer and requested a replacement side panel, which I’m still waiting for. Other than the poor packaging, it’s a very nice cabinet. 5

[1U] It came fully assembled, in a large box, and (for me) undamaged. It is what it says it is. It is heavy, though, and that worried me. The top and the bottom match (ie each has 2 vents, 1 nice opening (screwed shut until you need it) for cables, and the corners have 4 screw holes each. On the bottom I imagine they are for the casters. I used them to screw the whole thing to thin-unistrut (painted black) and hang them in the corner of my storeroom with 1/2 threaded rod. It will hang just below the new dropped ceiling (hopefully) for some years. My Crown CDi1000, DBX 640m, PC (on a $22 shelf), and NVR are all installed inside. Very slick. 5

[5.54 lb] This half rack case is perfect for my wireless mic and IEM set up. Everything is safe and ready to go. I added the Odyssey 3U rack drawer to the bottom of the unit for all of my accessories. I still had plenty of room to velcro a power strip on top of the drawer, and store the cables to hook into our system. The pouch storage on each door is open for extra stuff.....I could easily fit my iPad and / or my page turn pedal....just haven’t decided. I am looking forward to the easy set up and tear down at the next gig! I should have done this long ago!! 5

[1U] It took a while to find, but this case is perfect for our wireless In Ear Monitor system. The extra unit of rack space even allows for room to store our body packs ear buds and a couple of short XLR cables, so everything we need to run our ears is all in one box. Shipping was fast as well! 5
