Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this cable provide P48?

A: Hi,The cable it's self does not provide p48V but when connected to the 7 Atomos monitor recorders you can select the option in the audio menu to turn on the Phantom power.

Q: 2. Can I use this with a Zaxcom ERX?

A: The Remote Audio CATCIPBNC Timecode Cable is an input cable designed for use with Apple iDevices such as the iPhone, iPod, and iPad. For the Zaxcom ERX, you may use the Remote Audio CATC1/8BNC (B&H #RECATC18BNC).

Q: 3. Is the cable it send and receive both way?

A: The Remote Audio CATCIPBNC is not Bi-directional. It is a timecode input cable for iPads and iPhones.

Q: 4. Can I use this to send tc from a Sound Devices Mixpr6 II to a Denecke JB1 syncbox (and then use the sync box to feed camera)?

A: No, the Remote Audio BNC to 1/8" (3.5mm) Timecode Cable would not work with the 3.5mm output connection on the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II Field Recorder. This cable uses a TRRS (3-ring) 3.5mm connection for compatibility with smart phones and similar device connections. The CAMVATE Right-Angle BNC to Right-Angle 3.5mm Mini Jack Timecode Cable (BH #CAC2385) is a suitable alternative for the described application: https://bhpho.to/3RYR5NA

Q: 8. Is there an ios app to best use this cable with? To take TC out of a Cine Camera and send to iPad or iPhone?

A: There are a vareity of timecode apps for iOS available from the app store which would allow you to take timecode from your camera and send it to an iPad or iPhone using the Remote Audio BNC to 1/8" (3.5mm) Timecode Cable. TimeCode ToolBox and Timecode Buddy are two examples of popular apps you will find if you search for timecode apps in the app store.

[1x XLR3 Male] I got this to interface either a pair of Lectrosonic wireless receivers or a Rolls phantom power unit to a Ninja V audio input. Yes I wish the Ninja V had mini xlrs, but it doesn't, hence this cable to finish the route.

The color coding is a nice touch, easy to spot even in near darkness. In my setup channel one is on the right because I wanted it to feed from nearest end of the Rolls to the Ninja. The single run from the Rolls box keeps the cables down to a minimum. The cables are so light and flexible that I can leave the Rolls and cables on in my carry case. One less thing to set up.

[1x XLR3 Male] I love these headphones. They are an integral component of my audio kit; like my 302 mixer they are used everyday. I have had my HN-7506 headphones for nearly 3 years & they haven't missed a beat. Of course the gel earpads will eventually leak (mine lasted for 2.5 years before leaking) but replacement earpads can also be found on B&H (something which the previous reviewer seems to be oblivious of). The external noise attenuation of these headphones is phenomenal, the result is you hear exactly what you're recording with no external sounds leaking in. This also protects your ears in noisy environments, indeed the baffling is enough to protect your ears from a 50mm Navy cannon at 30 feet (yes, I've tried). Acoustically they are also superb, with a very flat & clear response. In fact when not on a job I use mine for listen to music (an SACD through the HN-7506 is something to behold). I also use them when travelling for work on aircraft, they work better than previous noise-cancelling headphones I've used at blocking out engine drone. In all one of the best purchases I've ever made. One caveat however: mine arrived with a 1/8 detachable plug & a 1/4 plug hardwired to the cable. Certainly not practical for Sound Devices 302 use as the connector was 3 long. I needed to modify mine with a hardwired 1/8 plug.

[1x XLR3 Male] I plug the 3.5mm mini-jack end into my dual wireless lav receiver. I plug the two XLRs into my audio recorder. The stereo signal from the lav receiver splits into Left on one XLR and Right on the other XLR, leaving me with two Mono tracks on the audio recorder. Exactly what I need.

[1x XLR3 Male] I already have had 3 pairs of HN 7506 headphones. I know what they look like when they are new. Someone had used these before. The left gel filled pad was not on the headphone, it was loose in the box. The 1/4 to 1/8 adapter was not in the box. I have never had a negative experience from B&H but you slipped this time. I sent them back and will buy them elsewhere.

[1x XLR3 Male] When recording location sound, I often ask myself is that noise I'm hearing in the mix, or just leaking past my headphones? With the high level of noise reduction on these, it is much easier to feel confident about what is, and is not, part of the recording.

[1x XLR3 Male] Couldn't do my job without these. My church is small enough that we can't supply 2 sound guys (or 2 sound boards!) to mix the live sound on location and have the live stream mixed from a second, sound-isolated room. These are not inexpensive, but provide a much more cost effective option. I can mix the live sound in the sanctuary and then pop these on and mix for the live stream without sound bleeding thru from the live environment and coloring the mix. Fantastic isolation and super comfortable. Based on an aviation headset, so the gel pads are easily replaceable should they ever be damaged (as one reviewer complained).

[1x XLR3 Male] Used the 'phones today for recording a live band in a situation that I could only be 30ft away from them. The isolation proved to be very good that I did not have to kill my ears to hear what was going to tape After years of using 7506 'phones I am so used to the way they sound that it is nice to not have to lose my reference point & have the isolation that I need. These are not cheap & have not had them long enough to suffer from some of the complaints that others have stated, I'm hoping that they last a while.
