Q: 1. does this work with shure sm7b?

A: Yes it will accomodate a SHURE SM7B microhpne, but just barely, when factoring in the included Shure Swivel (Yoke Mount) Stand Adapter This studio boom arm holds up to 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg) Consider this one: Auray BAI-2N Two-Section Broadcast Arm with Internal Springs B&H # AUBAI2N: https://bhpho.to/35JbOyW The Auray BAI-2N is a two-section broadcast arm with internal springs . This versatile and sturdy broadcast arm is great for studio as well as home use. It's ideal for broadcast, voiceover, and podcasts. The BAI-2N broadcast arm is designed with internal springs that provide a clean and sleek look. The internal balance springs are precision engineered to support and hold in place microphones of up to 5 lb / 2.27kg. The design also minimizes handling noise when re-positioning the arm. The broadcast arm features a standard 5/8"-27 microphone stud mount that is compatible with most shockmounts and microphone clips. The angle of the microphone stud mount can be adjusted and secured with the locking knob, and the angle is maintained when re-positioning the arm. This eliminates the need to readjust it every time the arm is moved. With an extension of up to 40 inches, and the ability to rotate the arm 360°, the BAI-2N allows for precise microphone placement.

Q: 2. Does anyone use a pop filter with this arm? If so how do you attach?

A: You can clamp it onto the boom arm. So the pop screen will move with the mic. This is a good one made by K&M. B&H # KM23956B you can find it on our website.

Q: 3. Does it work with AT2020USB+?

A: Yes, fully compatible.

Q: 4. Any meaningful differences of the Diety S-Mic 2 and the Rode NTG-1 shotguns for crowd miking?

A: The S-Mic 2 may be a better choice because it has a slightly wider pickup range which is better to capture audio from multiple people than a mic with a very narrow pickup range, which is better for picking up one person. The S-Mic 2 is easy to use because it has no onboard switches or controls to adjust and it is also moisture resistant. Its frequency response range is 50 Hz to 20 kHz, it handles loud sounds up to 130 dB SPL, and has very low noise. The NTG1 has a frequency response range or 20 Hz to 20 kHz and handles loud sounds up to 138 dB SPL, and also has low noise. It also has an onboard low-cut filter which is useful to reduce low rumbling background noise. Both the S-Mic 2 and NTG1 are very good mics, but for miking a crowd, the S-Mic 2 may be the better option since it has a wider pickup range and not as focused as the NTG1. The noise level rating for the S-Mic 2 is slightly lower than the NTG1 (12 dBA vs 18 dBA). The moisture resistance is also a good feature for outdoor use.

Q: 6. Would this work with Rode VideoMic NTG Hybrid Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone, or will it want to jump to the sky?

[5.5 x 5 x 1.8"] It’s hard to find many reviews of headset mics, but I have to say that all the positive things I heard about the DPA d:fine line are true. The 4188 sounds amazing and especially compared the Crown CM311 and the cheaper Shure WH20 models I’ve owned. The CM311 was so uncomfortable and cumbersome and I could never dial in my sound to get close to studio quality. This is the first time I’ve actually been happy with the sound and feels like it rivals my studio mics. Love the light weight and inconspicuous appearance. I got the 120mm boom and was worried about the length but it turned out to be perfect for getting the mic to the corner of my mouth.
