Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the device it pass supplied 48 V phantom power through to a microphone on the input?

A: The Cloudlifter Z Instrument/Mic Activator is not compatible with condenser microphones. The Cloudlifter itself does not pass phantom power, rather, it is powered by phantom power, and uses that to boost the output level of the connected mic or instrument. For condenser microphones that require phantom power, this is the most similar in-line preamp to use: https://bhpho.to/3jLSjQX

Q: 2. why does the arm want to spring to the ceiling, is my mic not heavy enough?

A: That generatlly happens if the mic is not heavy enough.

Q: 3. Can this mic be rigged on-camera?

A: Any shotgun can be rigged on camera: Here are a few things to keep in mind: 1) You will need XLR input with phantom poer. If your camera only sports a mini input, you will need some sort of an XLR adapter device such as a beachtek adapter "with phantom power) to allow the use of this mic. 2) If this is going onto a smaller form factor camera and especially if you are using a wider angle lens, this mic may be in the frame, so this may not be your best choice then and you may want to opt for a shorter microphone. 3) Shotgun mics are very sensitive to handling noise, so make sure you get a shockmount to go with this mic in order to minimize handling noise.

Q: 4. Would this work with Rode VideoMic NTG Hybrid Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone, or will it want to jump to the sky?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 5. I am reaching out regarding this boom arm. Does this product fit the SM6 shock mount?

A: Yes. This will fit any standard mic clip or shock mount.

Q: 6. How many windscreens are included in one package?

A: The Earthworks OMW3 Windscreen for Earthworks Omnidirectional Microphones contains one Earthworks OMW3 Windscreen.

Q: 7. Does anyone use a pop filter with this arm? If so how do you attach?

A: You can clamp it onto the boom arm. So the pop screen will move with the mic. This is a good one made by K&M. B&H # KM23956B you can find it on our website.

Q: 8. Is the 4-pin Hirose connector the same as a Sony 4-pin connector, for example on the DWT-B01 transmitter?

A: Yes, this mic is compatible with that Sony transmitter. It's pretty decent, too!

Q: 9. Does it work with AT2020USB+?

A: Yes, fully compatible.

Q: 10. Will it work with rode nt-usb mini?

A: Yes. This arm witll hold the NT-USB Mini.

[5.5 x 5 x 1.9"] This is by far the cleanest sounding, extremely low noise omnidirectional mic I've owned. I absolutely love listening to the results of my recordings as I always get beautiful results. Also, they very require very little to no audio editing/treatment before I render my tracks. As of now I've owned the 2006c(stereo pair)for 4 months and I have no complaints thus far.

[5.5 x 5 x 1.9"] It’s hard to find many reviews of headset mics, but I have to say that all the positive things I heard about the DPA d:fine line are true. The 4188 sounds amazing and especially compared the Crown CM311 and the cheaper Shure WH20 models I’ve owned. The CM311 was so uncomfortable and cumbersome and I could never dial in my sound to get close to studio quality. This is the first time I’ve actually been happy with the sound and feels like it rivals my studio mics. Love the light weight and inconspicuous appearance. I got the 120mm boom and was worried about the length but it turned out to be perfect for getting the mic to the corner of my mouth.
