The 16.4' reel of RoscoLED Tape VariWhite 3000-6000K IP65 16.4' Reelprovides filmmakers, DJs, and set designers with a versatile solution for incorporating large amounts of high-quality, variable-white LED light into their set pieces, graphics, or background panels for creating dramatic accent lighting, even in demanding environments. It has an IP65 rating for outdoor installations.

The tape features 60 CW (cool white) and 60 WW (warm white) LEDs per 3.2', which generate 1500 lumens of clean and bright light with 93 CRI, 92 TLCI, and color temperature ranging from 3000 to 6000K. It comes pre-configured with a multi-pin connector designed to quickly plug into RoscoLED control boxes, extension cables, or splitters, with no field soldering required.

This durable and flexible LED tape is equipped with a robust 3 oz copper heat sink which enables efficient thermal management of the diodes, allowing them to run cooler and extending their lifespan. The thick copper base minimizes the potential for damage to the electronic circuits during handling and installation.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the outer diameter of the light?

A: The outer diameter of the JOBY Joby Beamo Reel Bi-Color LED Video Light is 2.8".

Q: 2. how can I mount this on my camera, is BH sell that part?

A: It has a 1/4-20 threaded mount and you can use a variety of mounts. Here are two from Aladdin. Aladdin Shoe Mount with 1/4 -20 Screw B&H # AL02SHOE and the Aladdin Ball Head Clamp with 1/4-20 Screw for Eyelite, A-Lite or Bi-Flex1 B&H # ALFL40CLPPBH.

Q: 3. In the past I've avoided on-camera LED lights because they don't have great diffusion, and I don't like shining a bright light in someone's eyes for a stand up interview.Since these are made as eye lights is it safe to assume they're not too harsh to point directly at an interview subject?

A: Not to get too meta, but the softness of a light source is directly proportional to its relative size to your subject. So in other words, you can put all the diff on a light as you want, but if it's a tiny light, it's going to be hard light. Also don't conflate brightness with softness . This sucker gets really bright, which can feel harsh , but that doesn't have anything to do with it's softness. Long story short, I use this primarily as an eye-light, as the name suggests, not as a key light. So I rarely dim it above like 25% brightness. All I'm looking for is a little ping in the eye, so I don't want it playing on the subject's face at all. If you want a soft on-camera light, the bigger in size you can get the better. This probably isn't the light you're looking for.

Q: 4. How many reels does this comes with?

A: The single supplied reel can be used for either 120 or 35mm.

Q: 5. What is its power in degrees lux and distance? How long does it take to charge the battery and how long will the battery last at full power? What is the application to download from ios?

A: Output not specified. Run time is 2.5 hours charge time is 3 hours.

Q: 6. Will this product TZeB51 glow in the dark?

A: No it does glow in the dark

Q: 7. Can this be used outside a dark bag?

A: You have to load the film into the tank in a dark bag or darkroom then you can develop it outside the bag.

Q: 8. How tall is the Jobo 1520 UniTank with the lid?

A: Right, under 6.5''.

Q: 9. Can this splicing tape be used to repair 36mm microfilm?

A: You could use this for 36mm microfilm.

Q: 10. Can Samigon reels be used in this tank?

A: Unfortunately, this tank only accepts Jobo reels.

[16.4' / 5 m] My "holy grail" of top lights for my news camera!
No, it's not cheap but it is what I've wanted for years.
A light weight, bi-color light that does not feel like a boat anchor when mounted on my camera's articulated arm.
The controls are easy to get to. The opposite side of the light is a latched door which gives you access to the cell phone style lithium battery it runs on.
Charges from a USB and I have run it several times over an hour with no lose in power. I am sure it will happen some day, but until then it has been an answer to my prayers.
The diffuser which comes with it...works, but I took it off. It just seemed more in the way than functional 90 percent of the time.
I still give this light five stars.

I leave it mounted on my camera all the time because it is light weight and not a burden to carry around like other lights.
This is not an HMI. It gives great bi-color light without the usual green tint issues cheaper brands produce.

I wish they had identical mounting holes on the unit instead of the tiny one which the semi-usless diffuser attaches with. That way I could always have the light controls on the side I want no matter what direction I mount t on the articulated camera arm.

It will be even better when the price comes down but, until then, my back says "thank you" for not adding weight to my broadcast camera!
A poor man's "raincoat" will keep this expensive puppy dry in rain.
I keep cheap zip lock bags to slip over it in case of rain!

[92] I cannot think of a more powerful led light panel for such a miniature size and weight. I love the built-in battery, simplifying charging workflow. Perhaps it was hand-made by Swiss elves, judging by its extremely high build quality and corresponding price... I will purchase more!

[IP65] This little pocket rocket does everything from adding a basic eyelight to being that little extra glint wherever you need it on set. I used it on a feature for about a month and as long as I wasn't running it all the time (I would pop it out every fifth shot or so) it would last me all day on one charge. The bicolor is definitely worth it too.

[IP65] This extremely compact light is an excellent eye-light that casts just the right right amount of soft fill. Battery life could be better, but USB input allows compact external battery use. The bi-color feature is great and the quality of high CRI light is fantastic.

[16.4' / 5 m] This is an amazing small LED Bi-Color light. Great for an eye light or I have even used it to hang it over the back of an interview or MCU shot of a subject for a back light. It also is probably the best quick fix if your going to be photographing in a car at night. The out put is small but can really fill light in about a 4 to 5 foot area for filming. I would not think of using this light as my only light in my kit but for small spaces it is invaluable.
