The 12" RoscoLED Tape 12V VariWhite Strip with Barrel Connectorprovides filmmakers and set designers with a versatile solution for incorporating large amounts of high-quality, variable-white LED light in confined areas such as cars, plane interiors, and more. It has an IP67 rating for repeated outdoor use.

The strip features three LEDs per 1", which generate a clean and bright light with 93 CRI, 92 TLCI, and color temperature ranging from 3000 to 5600K. It comes pre-configured with a 0.08" / 2.1mm DC barrel connector designed to quickly plug into RoscoLED 12 VDC power and dimming accessories (available separately).

[93] Does exactly what it is built to do. I use this with my FS5-M2 camera when I power my rig with AB batteries. The cord length is perfect for my requirements. I haven't tested it to see if it will isolate power from other devices and/or prevent a back flow of unintended voltage/grounding. But when connecting it to my AB D Tap splitter, which is powering my Inferno recorder there hasn't been an issue. We'll see what happens when I plug in, and share power with a wireless mic, and if any noise/grounding is created. With wireless mics and mixers/recorders you have to be careful about unintentional grounding when using a common battery to power multiple devices. Using an isolating power distribution system will keep voltage only going one way, so it doesn't seek a path of least resistance by traveling back on XLR connectors, creating noise or worse. 5

[92] I needed a cable to power my Blackmagic HDR Video Assist 5 from my V-Mount battery. I wasn't sure if this would work and didn't want to fry the monitor. There is a 12v regulator on the cable, so I felt confident that it wouldn't. I chatted with B&H and they agreed. It works perfectly. 5

[12 VDC] We had another D-Tap cable for the longest time, but if our v-mount batteries were putting out just slightly too much voltage (ie, when freshly fully charged), our FS5M2 would give an error. We would have to drain our v-mount batteries by about 5-10% before connecting it to the Sony FS5M2. The regulator on this cable works fantastic. Take it off the charger, plug it straight in, and you're good to go. Do not cheap out on another cable like we did. Go with this, highly highly highly recommend. 5
