The Zacuto Sony FS7 II Dual Trigger Grips | Compact Designfrom Zacuto Sony FS7 II Dual Trigger Grips | Compact Designare a 15mm LWS rod mount handgrip set featuring one wooden handgrip and one grip relocator for the Sony FS7 II camera grip. Each can be individually rotated a full 360° at the press a dedicated lever — there is no need to screw or unscrew any knob or lever but rather just press it on the fly. Furthermore, the wooden component of the wooden handgrip can also be adjusted forward and backward at the press of another lever.

The wooden handgrip secures into a sleeve and can be adjusted in length within the sleeve by loosening a lever. Scale markings are available on top to allow you to easily match up the positions of the wooden handgrip and the grip relocator.

A: It really depends on what you want to move and replace it with. This kit is designed to be complete and work with the FX6 handle on one side and the included grip on the other. A: No, there is no Zacuto Sony FX6 Recoil Pro Rig with Dual Trigger Grips kit which includes an EVF.

Q: 7. Does the dual grip package include the Z-Finder?

A: No, the Sony FX6 Recoil Rig with Dual Trigger Grips does not include the Z-Finder. The image on our site shows the Zacuto Kameleon EVF Pro ZAZKEVFP mounted. However, that is not included in the kit either.

Q: 8. Just to be certain that this replaces the Sony Fs7 ( first generation) flip-up eyepiece and cup?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 9. would this work on a sony pxw-z280?

A: No, the Zacuto Z-Finder for Sony FS7, FS7 II & FX9, is designed to replace the viewfinder piece on the FS7 and FX9 models, and snaps in place like those pieces. Since the Sony PXW-Z280 does not have a monitor attachment like those models, it would not be recommended to use this Z-Finder with it.

Q: 10. I like that you only need to press a lever to adjust the wooden handgrips. If I remove the wooden handgrips and replace them with the Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Lens Control System, will I maintain the functionality of the levers?

[2.095 lb] It's not only a better place to have it (lower and forward) than the factory place, but the hex screw on the factory plate is such a nightmare. Only took me twice of loosening it and tightening it for it to strip, and now I can't loosen it any more. If I was you, I would order this Zacuto top plate at the same time you order the camera and replace it immediately before you, like me, strip the factory screw. 5

[Aluminum, Wood] The first time I used it, the tightening knob separated from the screw it's attached to. There was only evidence of a tiny drop of loctite when those threads should've been fully covered with it. I contacted Zacuto and they sent me a new knob extremely quickly and the replacement is working wonderfully. 5

[2.095 lb] First of all, I have to say, this works really well. Its well designed and works quite well. The item is a bit expensive, and so when you get it in the mail you quickly realize what youre paying for is the engineering, research, and prototyping it must have taken to build this item. The actual item is well built, but you realize that in material cost, its not quite worth what youre paying. However, where the product shines is in filling out the camera kit for anyone who does interview work and then needs to switch to hand-held for b-roll or for getting a quick interview on the fly. For indie films, this is a great tool as well since you can quickly get your camera up and running with a dual handle set-up. Ive always been concerned about the Zacuto system because it originally didnt have this piece. There was no dual-Arri rosette with the base plate. I did go with Zacuto though due to its great balance and build quality. However, I was always looking back and forth to other competitors. Recently, on a shoot, I had to go hand-held real quick, and I remember thinking it may be time to switch to a different system. Fortunately, I found this out, and it has been great ever since. The item works really well - its quite intuitive, and it can be customized to fit in different positions. Ideally, to have it work well, youd have a 1st AC or an assistant of some kind to get it balanced perfectly. However, you can of course just set-up it up by yourself. It goes pretty quick. An assistant would just help make the flow a little faster by allowing you to customize how you want to hold the dual grips. I would highly recommend this. The tornado grip never seemed like the solution I was looking for. Fortunately, this seems to be it. 5

[Aluminum, Wood] It's seriously such a useful little thing - amazing build quality. Can take the full weight of my camera package. I just wish they had put a hole for an allen key in the rosette knob - this thing is extremely hard to tighten and loosen. 5 stars. 5
