[0.06 lb] After putting this on my Olympus M10 Mark 111, I found it worked fine. I could see the screen clearly and read everything. However, most of the time I just hang the Hoodman Loupe around my neck. This is nice to have in your bag just in case you do need to get the Hoodman Loupe on your camera, it is handy to have. You will use it from time to time. Jim, Charlotte, NC.

[0.06 lb] Although I could have made something myself for this task, this item is neater and easier and not very expensive. It holds my Hoodman loupe on until I purchase a Redrock Micro nano rig.

[0.06 lb] You pretty much have to buy this as well with the LCD Hood. I think it has a bit much slack to begin with but that's a quick fix.

[0.06 lb] I don't know how anyone can do nature and macro photography without this simple device. I use it to confirm all of my macro photos and most of my landscapes. Without it you cannot see your work on a sunny day. With it, it's like looking at the final print in the field.

[0.06 lb] If you cross the bands over the top of cam, even works with the tiny Canon G16. Just check to be sure the big squeezy nuts don't interfere with lens extension.Several reviews complained about price calling it just a ring with a couple of rubber bands. Very unfair. They're not just rubber bands, seeming very substantial to me--at least as stout as my hiking boot shoelaces with a stretchy, braided, sheath.I also have a Canon 7D for which I use Houdloupe's crane. Tried it on the G16; but the loupe extends vertically downward too far for the little cam. I found a BH offering that might solve that. Haven't called them to ask yet to be sure. It's BH #HOHBST, Hoodboost micro 4/3 adapter. It appears to mount in the hot shoe and raise the crain, mounted in it.I would prefer using the loupe with the crane because of its flip-up flexibility as opposed to the rubber bands. We shall see if the crane will not be too cumbersome with the little G16. Actually, it should provide a better shooting grip with a third stabilizing hand being eye pressure against the loupe's eyecup--not to mention more mass.Convenience? Well, that's another issue. I carry the G16 in a belt pouch and always have it with me. Guess I'm going to have to get a shoulder strap for the loupe and crain, eh?

[0.06 lb] Works perfectly to hold the Hood Loupe in place while doing video with a DSLR, such as a Canon 5D Mk2. A must-have for doing video to view LCD monitor, but not really needed if you're only doing stills.

[0.06 lb] I purchased a Canon Vixia HF200 a couple of months ago, and really wished it had a viewfinder. Well, I had a Hoodman Loupe...one day while shooting I tried to hold it over the LCD screen, and wo-ho, I had a view finder. Now if I could only attach it to the finder screen...hmmmm. I checked the B&H website for something similar that might work. Low and behold there was the Cinema Strap. Ordered one right away and now have a great eye level viewfinder.

[0.06 lb] Holds the hood-loupe in position when doing live-view and video with D90, D300s, D700, & D3s. Without this you will have to hold this to the rear of the camera (somehow) while you are manipulating the camera controls. If you have a nose like an aardvark then you don't need this; you can hold the hood-loupe on with your nose. If you don't, then you DO need this. Get it.

[0.06 lb] If you own a Hoodman loupe and plan to use live view for close ups to judge depth of field you need a strap to hold it in place. It does add an extra step to your set up but I never am in a hurry when doing macro work. It takes a little maneuvering to get it in place when your camera uses an L Bracket quick release but I found the strap stretches enough on one side which I never change. Then it is simple to slip the other strap over the opposite side and snug it up. It is all worth it when you see how much your macro shots improve.
