The 24" x 39.4' roll of PermaJet Saturn Semi-Gloss Inkjet Canvas 24" x 39.4' Rollfrom PermaJet Saturn Semi-Gloss Inkjet Canvas 24" x 39.4' Rollis a 350gsm fine art inkjet canvas with a textured semi-gloss surface and natural white base. The surface is subtly textured and features an instant dry coating, adding extra depth and definition to a wide range of subject matters, including fine art photographs and artwork. This paper also reproduces fantastic colors and detail thanks to the stunning gloss finish, making it ideal for creating traditional stretched canvas prints for artists, fine art labs, photographers, and more. The Saturn's 63/35 polyester/cotton base provides a wonderful tonal range for reproductions of both color and monochrome images.

PermaJet Saturn Semi-Gloss Canvas has been designed for use with dye and pigment inkjet systems. The media has been designed, manufactured, and tested for use with Epson, HP, Canon, and Lexmark printers.

The storage and use of the product should be in a climate and a temperature of 50 to 86°F at a relative humidity of 30 to 60%. Always keep the product in its original packaging or in archival-quality folders. Where possible, always handle the canvas or printed surface by its edges.

Q: 1. This is a matte canvas right? I'm not sure what Tactile Surface Texture means

A: Not sure what the term Tactile Surface Texture means 'though I suspect it's little more than a marketing term. Please note, I haven't printed on this product yet but I can say Daguerre Canvas is an actual canvas material and when compared to the Epson's Exhibition Canvas Matte (uses Matte Ink on Stylus Photo 3800), the weave of the Daguerre Canvas is slightly finer and flatter 'though they're essentially the same whiteness.This forum prevents me from attaching links to Hahnemuhle so I recommend you go to their site where you can get a further information.

Q: 2. I need to know how much this product weighs. Doesn't say in the specs .

A: The package weighs 6.4lbs.

Q: 3. So, gloss canvas still has to be coated?

A: Coating a printed image is never required. It is optional but highly recommended for added protection.

Q: 4. is there an icc profile for this canvas for the epson stylus 7600 using ultrachrome ink, photo black

A: Epson does not list an ICC profile for this paper on the 7600 printer on their website.

Q: 5. Can this canvas be used with my Epson 3880? Can you recommend procedure for loading and paper path? If paint is applied, does either oil paint or acrylic paint provide advantages? Does B and H carry canvas stretchers that work well for this product?I thank you in advance for your insighted

A: The R3880 does not have a roll option. It only accepts cut sheets 17x22 or smaller, nothing wider then 17 inches. We do carry stretcher bars. Here is the link: http://bhpho.to/Uxtk2GThere are no advantages with using either oil or acrylic paint.

Q: 6. What is the difference between Epson's Exhibition Canvas Matte and Exhibition Canvas Natural Matte? Are they for different uses?

A: They are for the same use. It depends on the tone of print you want. The Natural Canvas Matte has no optical brightening agents, so it's a warmer, more natural tone than the (standard) Canvas Matte. The Natural Canvas Matte is also not quite as heavy or thick, but that's not the primary distinction. If you want cooler-toned prints, buy the Canvas Matte, but if you want warmer-toned prints, buy the Natural Canvas Matte. Hope this helps.

Q: 7. Will this work on canon image pro 6000

A: The printer would be able to print on this roll, but you would not have any printer profile support for it .

Q: 8. Hello I would like to know if it is compatible with the Canon Pro 4000 printer?. thanks

A: The Epson Glossy Exhibition Canvas Archival Inkjet Paper ill fit in a Canon Pro4000 printer but there are no ICC profiles available. You can either use a similar Canon profile or create your own custom paper profile.

Q: 9. I've been getting some pronounced banding, about 1/2 apart with the canvas on a Canon printer. Is it because I'm using a dye ink? Paperwork says it is designed for pigment.

A: The printheads are about 1/2 apart. So it sounds like an absorbency issue with the ink. This is usually caused from ink incompatibility.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with an archival pigment printer like the canon pro-4100?

A: Yes, the Epson Exhibition Canvas Satin Archival Inkjet Paper can be printed on with the Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-4100 Printer and similar printers.

[26 x 5 x 5"] I like this canvas a lot, having tried samples of others by Epson and Hahnemuhle. This one is my favorite, for weight and the bright white color. I printed using my Epson 3880 and after only a couple of alignment issues, had no trouble printing using the rear manual feeder. Very easy. Only trouble I ran into was my first print was not printing in the right spot, and I needed to change the custom paper setting in the driver from 35x17 to 17x35. That fixed the problem. 5

[6.6 lb] This canvas printed beautifully on our Epson P9000. It has just enough texture to read like a painting on canvas but is tight enough to get good coverage. 5

[26 x 5 x 5"] The canvas has the ability to resolve detail extremely well and the whites are pure. Used with the satin varnish I am very pleased with the end result. The canvas is easy to stretch and gallery wrap. 5

[1x Paper Roll] I have over a dozen years printing on paper, but this was the first time I printed canvas in-house and it was a great experience. The Daguerre Canvas looks great, especially after varnishing with Premier Eco Print Shield. Stretched without cracking or any other issues. The only issue I had was that Daguerre Canvas ships on a 2 core, so you'll need to switch from the more typical 3 core. 5
