Use these Slice Ceramic Box Cutter Blades with the 10400, 10503, 10512, 10513, and 10514 Slice handles to cut boxboard or cardboard. Each blade is made from 100% zirconium oxide and has a finger-friendly double edge, which is sharp for materials but resistant to cutting skin. The blades have a pointed tip to help initiate a cut, and they are non-conductive, non-magnetic, non-sparking, and chemically inert, so they will never rust. These oil- and lubricant-free blades come in a pack of four and are reversible, which doubles their lifespan.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How effective is the hydrophobic treatment? Presumably a titanium oxide coating?

A: Hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings on glass elements and filters such as the Sigma 95mm WR Ceramic Protector Filter (B&H# SICGC95) are typically fluorine-based rather than titanium-based, as the later would block much visible light. It causes most water to bead and roll off if there is any incline to the angle at which the filter is held. When dealing with water droplets and splashes, I have found this type of coating sheds most water without my needing to address it at all. When a water droplet does not roll off right away, I just blow on it to shed it without having to take a break to wipe the lens or filter. I do not need to touch the element at all and I'm immediately back to shooting.

Q: 2. Can this machine cut 0.5" thick polypropylene and polyethylene?

A: It can cut polypropylene up to 3mm thick.

Q: 3. Which metal is used for the new Sigma filters?

A: The filter is very new and some information is not out yet. As of now it seems the frame is brass like the other models.

Q: 4. Will this vignette with an 18mm lens? Specifically the Tamron 18-300 (67mm). Any issues with the hood fitting properly?

A: This filter will not vignette unless it's wider than 16mm on a full frame camera. You shouldn't have any issues fitting the lens hood over the filter either.

Q: 5. I have clear acrylic and i put masking tape on them before I cut, will that help to cut throuh1/8 thick Acrylic?

A: The following is the reply from the manufacturer: "If you are referring to the coating that comes on acrylic - Yes, you can leave this on while cutting and it will help to minimize any surface burning or marking from soot, etc. as well as protect it from scratches. It is not a requirement to have the coating on, though you may notice some of the above mentioned marking, depending on the color - This is usually minimal. I would not recommend coating already bare acrylic unless you are noticing excessive marking and are unable to clean the surface post cutting."

Q: 6. can this machine be used with a Mac?

A: Yes it can. Please click the link: https://github.com/LightBurnSoftware/Documentation/blob/master/Installation.md

Q: 7. How thick is the glass on these filters? (Not concerned about the total height of the assembly)

A: Same as other filters.

Q: 8. Hello, does it fit to the Nikon AF-S 24-70 f/2.8E ED VR?

A: Yes, the Sigma 82mm WR Ceramic Protector Filter can fit the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens.

Q: 9. What about the input ac power of this product? like 120v

A: The Brother ScanNCut DX Scanner/Cutter uses standard 120v outlets.

Q: 10. Is the filter frame aluminum or brass?

A: The ring on this filter is aluminum.

[0.03 lb] I bought this to replace my Wacom Bamboo which I lost and which is no longer available. I needed a stylus with a finer tip than most have to use on my cell phone (my fingers are too larger to accurately hit small letters, etc.). This stylus works great - the tip is small enough and it consistently registers on capacitive screens.

[Zirconium Oxide] For the money, you get a tool that was made to true industrial standards and which works right out of the box. Well, not a box, actually; it's that heavy plastic see-through packaging, but it is NOT the kind which you need to hack and chop at to open. All in all, this one is easy to recommend.
