The transmitter's interchangeable capsule design allows you to use a variety of optional dynamic and condenser mic capsules, with pickup patterns ranging from wide omnidirectional to narrow supercardioid—capsules include the MMD 835, MMD 845, MME 865, MMD 935, MMD 945, and MMD 42.

The rugged, all-metal handheld transmitter features a backlit LCD that displays essential information and provides fast menu access. The adjustable input sensitivity on the transmitter accommodates mic levels ranging from booming voices to quiet speech, while controls can be locked out to prevent accidental changes during a performance. The transmitter syncs to the receiver via infrared with a quick press on the Sync button.

The SK 300 G4-S is powered via two AA batteries or a rechargeable BA 2015 Accupack battery (available separately). An LA 2 charging adapter (available separately) allows for recharging the Accupack without removing it from the transmitter—requires the L 2015 quick-charging unit (available separately).

The robust, metal EM 300-500 G4 receiver offers a high-contrast, black-&-white OLED display. The display uses a streamlined menu system with a jog wheel and dedicated Escape button for quick menu navigation. The display also shows battery status of the associated transmitter.

The system features 20 fixed frequency banks with up to 32 compatible frequency presets and 6 user banks with up to 32 user-programmable frequencies.

To prevent interference, the EM 300-500 receiver's true-diversity reception compares incoming signals on two independent receiver circuits to ensure optimal RF quality. To ensure crystal clear audio, Sennheiser's proprietary HDX compander technology maximizes the microphone's signal-to-noise ratio, while avoiding RF noise.

The built-in equalizer enables you to change the frequency response of the output signal; you can reduce the bass range and boost the treble range. The receiver also offers an adjustable output level range of 48 dB to match the audio input of your mixing board or PA system.

A headphone output with volume control is conveniently located on the front panel, allowing you to monitor your audio signal.

The back panel houses a balanced XLR output as well as an unbalanced 1/4" output. A kit is included for rackmount installation. The unit comes with a universal power supply and EU, US, UK, Korea, Australia, and China adapters.

For public address applications, the EM 300-500 G4 receiver can be integrated directly into the LSP 500 PRO wireless speaker system.

The receiver features an Ethernet (RJ45) port for network-based remote monitoring and control using the Sennheiser Wireless System Manager (WSM) software (free download available separately). Using your Mac/Windows computer, the software allows you to quickly coordinate frequencies in multichannel setups, display audio levels at the transmitter, battery status, and more.

Alternately, you can use the Sennheiser Control Cockpit software (free download available separately), designed to make the daily routines and workflows associated with the use of large wireless microphone setups in corporate and campus settings far easier. Wireless systems can be centrally controlled and monitored in real time, easily via a web browser on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.

The detachable antennas with BNC sockets allow you to create a larger system using up to four EM 300-500 receivers connected to a single pair of remote antennas. This setup requires the ASA 214 active antenna splitter (available separately).

Adding a pair of A 1031-U omnidirectional antennas or a pair of A 2003 UHF directional antennas increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference.

Sennheiser offers a bodypack transmitter with variety of lavalier and headset microphone options to adapt your EW system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete ME 2-II and MKE 2 lavalier mics provide exceptional clarity in spoken-word applications.
  • The lightweight ME 3-II is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active presentations.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the g4 handheld transmitter work with the G3 receiver?

A: Yes, Sennheiser G4 systems are compatible with G3 systems.

Q: 2. Can I combine both an A1 and A transmitters with this combiner?

A: Yes you may combine Sennheiser SR IEM A and A1 transmitters as they are in this components's specified frequency ranges. Sennheiser AC 41-US Frequency Range: 470 - 870 MHz 470 - 608 MHz

Q: 3. Can the AC 41 be used with other brands of IEM transmitters like Audio-Technica, Shure, etc.?

A: The Sennheiser AC 41-US Active Antenna Combiner with DC Power Distribution for IEM Transmitters with Power Supply is designed specifically for use with Sennheiser ew IEM G4 series devices. It is used to connect a master antenna for up to four Sennheiser SR IEM G4 Stereo Transmitters. It should also work with wireless IEM transmitters from other manufacturers that operate within the same frequency range.

Q: 4. Is the G4 (470-558MHz) compatible with an Ek100 G3 receiver (516-558MHz)?

A: Hi Brite - the two series are absolutely compatible as long as they are in the same range. As the AW+ range (470-448 MHz) transmitter extends beyond the lower frequencies of the A range EK 100 G3, you won't get the full benefit the transmitter is capable of for tuning, but you'll be able to scan with your EK 100 G3 and sync to the new SK 300 G4. Please note that the frequency presets will be different, though this isn't an issue when it comes to scan/sync capabilities.

Q: 5. Is it possible to use both the handheld and the lavaliere at the same time with the one receiver?

A: No, only one transmitter at a time. For two wireless transmitters to work simultaneously you will need an additional system and each system will have to be tuned to different frequencies.

Q: 6. Does this work with the ew 100 g3 body pack?

A: Yes, the EM 300-500 G4 receiver is compatible with G3 series transmitters.

Q: 7. Will this microphone work with the Sennheiser L 2015 Charger?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser L2015G2 Charging Station, BH #SEL2015G2 is the appropriate charger for this transmitter, with the Sennheiser BA 2015G2 Rechargeable Battery Pack, BH #SEBA2015G2 installed.

Q: 8. Can the speaker feel the mic being switched to mute or is it a soft touch switch?

A: The physical mute button is located on the top edge of the transmitter ad can eaily be felt by the user.

Q: 9. How many mics can this receiver connect to, does it work with AVX Bodypack Transmitter?

A: This single receiver pairs with one UHF transmitter from the Sennheiser ew 500 series only. An AVX transmitter would not work, because it operates in a digital frequency range. An example of a full system is the Sennheiser ew 500 Wireless G4 Handheld Microphone System with e945 Capsule AW+ (470 to 558 MHz), BH #SEEW500G494W or for a clip-on mic, the Sennheiser ew 500 G4-MKE 2 Wireless Lavalier Microphone System AW+ (470 to 558 MHz,) BH# SEEW500G4MKW.

Q: 10. Should I get a different frequency if want to get two?

A: That is not necessary. The bodypack transmitter provides up to 8 hours of operation on two AA batteries, with a fixed 30mW RF power output and a transmission range up to 330'. Up to 12 wireless mics can operate simultaneously in the same space, with the receivers linked together for fast, multi-channel frequency setup. Fast Multi-Channel Setup for Expanded System To simplify and speed up your workflow, two RJ10 data networking ports allow you to daisy-chain up to 12 receivers and quickly perform a frequency setup for the entire multi-channel system via the Easy Setup function. If you assign the frequencies manually, you can expand the setup to accommodate a maximum of 20 receivers. An RJ10 cable is included.

[Tabletop] Been using for a couple of weeks and am pleased. Much better mic quality than an older Audio-Technica lavalier system. Also, the mic seems to pic up the voice better and is less affected by movements of the head from left to right or up and down.

[Metal] Replaced a cheaper multi mic set with individual Sennheiser units. Definitely was more costly but the quality is more than worth it. The older set had occasional glitches where small parts of the audio would cut out and this was all within 50' of the receiver.

Once the Sennheiser was installed I have substantially greater range and rock solid audio. No pops, glitches, cut outs. Nothing but clear audio.

Don't be like me and pay twice, get the good stuff up front and be done.

[1x RJ45] I do live speaking in medium to large hotel spaces. I've been using this system for a year-and-a-half now instead of whatever is on offer from a given hotel (along with the Bose L1 Model II with Tonematch). The Sennheiser has always been at least as good as the hotel's equipment, and in most cases far superior. It's easy to set up, the sound is extremely clean, there's no latency (note some digital systems have a several millisecond lag), and it always works. This gives me the confidence to give a great talk. I also recommend the aforementioned Bose. Battery life (2 AAs) will get me through two hours of talking non-stop and another hour of Q&A for the afternoon, and again for three hours at night. If I were focus grouping with Sennheiser, I'd tell them the mute button works but can be tough to find when you're on stage; it takes a second to kick in so it's not useful as a cough button. But again, overall, terrific rig.

[6.445 lb] Our unit arrived quickly and on time from B&H. This unit is in the early stages of its use, but so far we have been impressed with its quality, functions and sound. We have multiple G3 units, but this G4 has better quality and range.
We use this in a large 100+ yr old Church, even with an outdated sound system. I can only imagine how impressive this would be with an updated sound system.
I would recommend this unit for those not feeling certain about what to purchase, and I would recommend purchasing it from B&H. Their service has always been Awesome.
Thank You
