Connect an HDMI source to an HD display or projector at up to 164' over Cat 6 with the HDMI over Ethernet Extender Kit 1080p 164ft Manhattanfrom Manhattan. Comprising of one transmitter and one receiver unit, this powered HDMI extender can connect to a wide variety of sources, such as a PlayStation, Xbox, Blu-ray player, satellite receiver, or digital recorder to provide 1080p resolution video and multichannel audio transmission over a separately available Cat 6 UTP, SSTP, or SFTP Ethernet cable. The transmitter's HDMI output port enables you to place a local display in a control closet to monitor the video being sent to the remote location. An IR blaster and receiver for remote control and two power adapters are included with the kit.

A: In theory, this should work. I would suggest using a VGA extender and convert the VGA signal on one end to HDMI with a VGA to HDMI converter.

Q: 10. Can this unit be used between a HDMI camera and a Black Magic ATEM streaming switcher?

A: Hi James. Blackmagic products don't support HDCP-encrypted content, and this kit forces HDCP encryption on the HDMI signal, so it will not work for that purpose unfortunately. Our extenders are HDCP compliant and therefore must be used with HDCP-compliant devices.

[1x HDMI Female] Replaced defective HDMI cables with this unit. Luckily we had CAT 5e cable pre-wired. I called Neuvideo and they said that this splitter would work well with CAT 5 cable with the relatively short distances that we have (~30 feet). We have it connected to Cox Countour box and LG OLED TVs. Also called Neuvideo customer service to address the correct EDID setting for our service. Both times, spoke with a live person who answered the questions and solved the problems. It's been working for a couple of weeks. Seems well constructed and hope it remains durable and reliable. 5

[1x RJ45 Female] We have 2 TVs in a High School that we use for digital signage. We had used other vga over ethernet adapters but we ran into picture quality issues. Using these with an additional receiver we were able to hook these up to our network switch and had no issues. Picture and audio quality is perfect. Since we use managed network switches we created its own VLAN for 3 ports so other network traffic was not effected. If you don't use managed switches buy a cheap $40 5 port switch and it's a plug and play installation. I like the suggestion from another reviewer about having these devices having the option for power over ethernet. Anything that doesn't require a separate power adapter is handy. 5
