A: We're afraid not. You will need to supply the servo with a power supply, it is not powered through the lens mount alone.

Q: 4. does this lens require external power?

A: Yes it does. We have the IDX System Technology C-ZLPRO D-Tap to Hirose Cable for Canon CINE-SERVO Zoom Lenses (12.5"), BH #IDCZLPRO, which you would need to pair with a battery that has a D-Tap power port.

[Clear] A neutral clear lens filter is something you buy to hopefully do nothing but protect the lens its mounted on. I have several high cost lenses and I will not skimp on the quality of the lens filters I mount. Makes no sense to purchase an expensive, pro quality lens and have everything it sees come through a cheap piece of glass. Nikon is a name I trust and I have never had any issues with their filters. This one is no different. The mounting is perfect and I can detect no change in the images taken through it.

[Clear] I've always loved these clear filters for when I want to protect my lenses from the elements. I wrecked a few of them running into tree branches I didn't see, small rocks rolling down a hill at me, and sliding my bag into the car. They kept my lense safe though! Well worth the investment.

[Clear] We do a lot of Cinema and Broadcast style shooting and this lens does both. We were concerned initially with the 180 degree focus rotation, but we got used to it fast. The macro function is amazing! We are using it with the Sony F55. When we use the 2K center crop setting, the lens FOV essentially becomes a 35-240mm lens. It's light and don't notice a lot of breathing. I can't recommend this lens enough. With the F55 it powers the servo without any additional cables and passes meta data.

[Multi Coated] Reading other reviews I was unsure if this filter would work with the drop-in filter holder on my Nikkor 300mm f2.8G ED VR II lens. This filter is compatible and works well.

[Multi Coated] I use this to protect the glass on an expensive lens. Haven’t noted any color shift or any loss of image quality. It cost a bit more than some alternatives, but I believe it is worth the difference.

[0.53 lb] Great AR coating, thin and very well made. I only use them when the lens could use some extra protection. Sand, sea , racing, etc
