It incorporates IO quick-change couplers for rapid hardware changes without the hassle and delay of threaded connections. This long boom features a large 2.2 lb counterweight designed to increase stability when handling large-diaphragm microphones, bulkier lights, or heavier cameras at distances up to 37.5".

The O1-L utilizes industrial-grade clutches (instead of knobs and thumbscrews) to secure all points of adjustment on the shaft. The knurled metal clutch barrels are coated to provide a comfortable ergonomic grip that yields more torque. With no protruding parts, the O1-L transports and stores with total reliability.

[6.85 lb] The best microphone quick-disconnect I have used thus far. The method of attaching the removable part is very reliable that I have no worries using it with heavy/large/$$$ microphones. The orbital positioning is essential to get just the right angle/positioning of the microphone. Great product.

[Steel] Used to hold an SM7B and couldn’t ask for more. This thing is built like a tank, and I really appreciated that it came with a few different adaptors including a standard mic stand thread to 1/4 inch thread so it can be used with accessories that need a camera mount.

Pricey but will last a lifetime.

[220°] I have a stereo bar that doesn't rotate along the the x axis, so it was always in inconvenient to tilt the mics down at all. I had heard lots of good things about triad-orbit gear, so when I found this I figured it would be a good option to make stereo bar positioning easy. I'm glad I tried it out, this ball head is really solid after setting it up I had no fears of the bar moving at all. This is a perfect solution for precise angling of a mic. I find most stands and mic clips have enough play in them that precision positioning is difficult if not impossible. This is easy to move and stays put once tightened.

[5/8"-27 Male] These are such high quality, every single component is top tier. Any other brand and there will be weak links that break.
These are so easy to use, adjust, connect/disconnect, install and anything. They don't move a mil after you've set them.
If you have a nice mic, you'd wanna feel 100 percent sure it's not gonna fall at some point, so the money for these is well spent.

[5/8"-27 Male] As a long-time photographer, I wondered why Ball-Heads had not made it to the microphone world?

I really prefer them for my monopod and tripods because of their ability to get them aimed just right where I want them.
Well here at long last is a solution! This Triad-Orbit Micro 2/M2-R is well-made, feels good and is made to connect with microphones and mic stands as well as photo tripods if you want to go that way. Imagine: position the mic exactly where you want it with no compromises! How cool is that?
This little rig is sturdy and holds firm. Let me tell you something. The
discerning USA-based, high-end Earthworks Audio Microphone Company paired three microphones from their stable, the ICON, the ICON Pro and the Ethos with this exact unit. You just know it's quality. Earthworks does not compromise their standards for convenience. You'll be pleased with jjjthis one... trust this long-time ball-head photographer on this choice!
It's Good.

[Black] It's amazing, a mini ball-head for a microphone. It's used in a hanging position and helps get your mics in position for stereo recording or an A/B mic comparison setup.
