Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can this ezybox work with a arri 650 fresnel?

A: The Lastolite Ezybox Pro Strip Softbox (10 x 59") is intended for use with Strobes, LED, and fluorescent lights. It should not be used with "hot lights" such as the Arri 650 as it is not rated to withstand the heat.

Q: 2. Will this attach to a Godox S-bracket somehow?

A: You will need to use this ring to make it work. https://bhpho.to/2yuBOO2

Q: 3. Does the shoe-mount bracket allow enough adjustment that a radio receiver could be mounted beneath a speedlight and still fit into the opening?

A: The short answer is Yes. I use a Phottix Mitros flash with a Phottix Odin receiver AND a Sony ADP AMA shoe to multi adapter in between the two. The sliding adjustment plate/track is all the way out when I use this set up, but it works.

Q: 4. What brackets do I need to purchase to allow this softbox to be used with a speedlight and studio strobes? It says it can do both but not how

A: For speedlights, you need item # LL LS2701For studio strobes it will depend on your brand. Search the site for Lastolite Ezybox II Speedring Plate

A: This softbox opens and functions in a similar manner.

Q: 7. Can this modifier be used with a Bowen’s S mount as well as a speed light?

A: Unfortunately, this particular series of softbox would not have a Bowens S attachment for it.

Q: 8. What are the ACTUAL *front-diffuser* dimensions? Is THAT 17.7" square ? Or is 17.7" the exterior dimensions including the black surround?

A: According to an Agent in the SuperStore its 17.5x17.5" for the face.

Q: 9. Will these work with Godox SL-60 LED Video Lights?

A: This softbox can be used with the Godox SL60 by way of the Lastolite Ezybox II Speed Ring Plate for Bowens Flash Heads, BH # LASRPBEZB2 https://bhpho.to/2ZKb4aa

Q: 10. Will two Canons 600EX attached to this bracket fit the into the sleeve in Photek Softlighter II 46 ?

A: The cold shoes on the bracket will slide to accommodate different flashes. I've used mine with Nikon's SB900, SB800, and SB600 as well as the Yungnuo flashes. You can rotate the flashes so that they are back to back and present less of a profile and they will fit.

[Yes (Included)] Very portable and easy to setup. I use mine on location with my SB600 and have found that despite warnings that my flash would be too weak the results look great. Only once did I feel like I wasn't getting enough flash and that was easily remedied by pulling out the inside diffuser. Very handy being able to create beautiful lighting in any location.

[2-Stop Loss] I use the Ezybox 24 on location for portraits. It produces a great quality of light. The included cold shoe adapter was no good for a 580EX flash, but the Stroboframe Flash Mount Adapter - Standard Shoe Type works excellent in it's stead. Setup for me is not as quick as I have read it for others, but I completely disassemble the mount and fold up the box into its bag for storage. I mount it on an avenger stand and use weights from to anchor it. No blowovers, but the worst wind tried to unscrew the complete mount from the stud on the light stand. Very pleased with the product.

[Yes (Included)] This is great portable softbox that works great with Nikon Speedlights. It is rather difficult to get back into the provided case once you pull out.

[22 x 18 x 4"] We've used a SB600 speedlight and this softbox on several outdoor shoots, and couldn't be more happy with the results. It is very compact, and is easily assembles and disassembles in the field. It can be held by and assistant, or set up on a light stand. If you need to soften the light from your speedlight, indoors or out, this is the kit for you.

[5.02 lb] First off, it took about 2 months to get it which made me miss a few opportunities to use it. I finally got to use this in the field. It worked out great, but I don't understand why they would even sell this without the tilthead. I had to get creative with angling the stand to get the light I wanted, and it was still a compromise. Also, if you buy the $20 stand, I recommend having some weight at the base if you're outdoors. Indoors & without wind, it works great, but's a little questionable with wind when you start extending both sections. Luckily I had a flexible bag with some water for weight (bag weighed about 7-10 lbs) to hold down the leg facing the wind just in case. I usually go by myself, so I have to carry & setup all of my gear. I had 1 bag for my camera gear and 1 other with everything else, including the Ezybox & stand. It took me longer to figure out where to put it and how much power to use than it took to put it together. When I moved between locations, I just dropped the stand to it's lowest height, left the flash on it and folded the Ezybox flat. For short walks, I'd shorten the stand & leave everything intact. All in all, it's a great product for photographers on the go, but definitely get the tilthead if you want anything other than light parallel to the ground.

[Yes (Included)] I tend to shoot a lot with my Canon speedlites, but getting soft-even light from them can be challenging with traditional diffusers and flash modifiers. I decided to try the Hot Shoe EZYBOX Softbox Kit in 2 sizes and I love them both! I have now used it in outdoor shoots to provide nice natural-looking fill, in the studio for a key light, and the results are just superb! The kit is very easy to set up (5 minutes, but I'm getting faster at it each time I use it), very simple to use, and it's just a pleasure to see the shots that I get in the end. I recommend a handle for it also, such as the EXT HANDLE f/ EZYBOX HOTSHOE. This allows you or an assistant to easily hold it in place when you are on-location.
