Few things will be too far away for the black Canon PowerShot SX740 HS Digital Camera Blackfrom Canon. Boasting a 20.3MP CMOS sensor and 40x optical zoom, this all-in-one point-and-shoot can capture things near and far. Helping the far end of its 24-960mm zoom range (35mm equivalent) is optical image stabilization which keeps your photos sharp and in focus. Zoom Framing Assistant makes it easier to track subjects at the long end of the focal length by quickly zooming out and then back in at the press of a button once you've located your subject. Canon's DIGIC 8 Image Processor helps the camera keep up with your shooting, allowing for 10-fps continuous shooting with AF lock on.

The 20.3MP sensor is also capable of 4K video and 4K time-lapse recording. Framing for videos and photos can be done via the 3.0" LCD screen on the rear of the device, which can tilt 180° for selfies. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allow the camera to connect to compatible mobile devices with the Canon Camera Connect app installed and enables quick editing and sharing of photos.

[Yes, Flash Only] Whenever I go to a concert, one of my favorite things to do is getting great pictures. I own 3 Nikon DSLR cameras and several excellent lenses, including the Nikon 70-200 F2.8 VR lens. Yes, I always snuck one of them into a concert venue. Now, with the clear bag policies at concert and sporting venues, that is no longer an option for me. I recently purchased this Canon Powershot SX740 to use at a concert I was attending. It fit inside my clear plastic stadium approved size handbag, with tons of room to spare. Although the pictures aren't quite what I've gotten in the past, they weren't bad at all considering we were in the middle of the covered section. It took a while to focus in over heads and hands, but I did get a few decent shots taken at night. If you were using this for an everyday camera, you won't be disappointed. It's extremely compact and the zoom is crazy. For me, it will keep me going to concerts! 5
