The black QSC E112 is a trapezoidal, two-way loudspeaker, well suited for sound reinforcement applications including live performance, DJ and dance music, karaoke, and event production. The E112 requires an amplifier with a minimum of 400W continuous (1600W peak) to power the 12" woofer and 1" compression driver that combine to offer a frequency response of 64 Hz to 20 kHz (-6 dB) with a peak SPL of 128 dB. QSC recommends the use of a DSP speaker processor or a power amplifier with integrated DSP in order to set crossovers, limiting, and equalization to ensure the best performance. QSC's GXD or PLD amplifiers, as well as TouchMix digital mixers offer on-board DSP and factory-tuned presets, which provide settings for live sound reinforcement (with and without subwoofers), stage monitoring, dance music, and karaoke.

The 15mm, 11-ply enclosure provides a direct-match-transition (DMT) coverage angle of 85°, which is suitable for most medium and medium-to-long-throw applications. An all-metal, dual-angle, 35mm socket allows the loudspeaker to be mounted vertically on a pole or angled down by 10° to improve audience coverage and reduce rear wall reflections. Multiple mounting options using E Series Yoke or M8 eyebolts (sold separately) are supported. Input connections include dual NL4 as well as screw terminal receptacles.

A: It comes with the bag so all you would need, is the cable to connect it from your audio source, if a subwoofer is being used a cable to connect to it and a pole to place it above the woofer. If there's no woofer a stand for the speaker is recommended.

[1.8 kHz] Really natural sounding speaker in a tough but lightweight cabinet. Versatli can be a floor wedge, stuck on a stick or flown with the optional eyebolts or mounting bracket. 5

[96 dB] I have used these for several years, and have been listening to various pairs for over 10 years. Last I knew the first pair I heard were still on the road. The enclosure is very well designed and extremely easy to carry. Electro-Voice designed the carry handle based on suitcase handle research, and they are the easiest to carry speakers I have ever encountered. I can carry one in each hand with ease. As to sound quality, these speakers are so accurate that some people don't know what to think at first. I have never found a full range cabinet that had a clearer or more accurate sound. Having installed these in various buildings, and traveling with my own pair of SX300E's I have found these speakers to be so versatile and reliable, that I rarely if ever use an EQ even in installations. These are a bargain at any price, and a great addition to any system. 5

[96 dB] At home stereo set up, wanted to try new tech, noticed local rental joints are exclusively QSC (no passive speakers though). Ordered smallest QSC speakers - I liked their look for home and their 85 degree pattern; with the idea to return them if I don't like the sound . I employ them with a 200W Mackie amp and SVS-SB3000 sub, through a DDRC-24 Dirac Live room corrector. The result is very pleasing, and the Tannoys are now retired. There is more clarity in the sound and I can push more (a lot of) power into the system with the clarity still remaining there. I don't have to sit on the sofa to enjoy the sound, so 85 degree pattern is working well. Note they are not flat, they require EQ/DSP corrector. 5

[96 dB] We are a church and needed speakers for outdoor events, parties, dancing, picnics for about 100 to 200 folks. I called a friend who happens to install home sound and video systems in high end homes, big dollar systems and asked him what I should get. He turned me on to QSC and narrowed it down to the CP12 series for our application. There were other speakers that did more stuff but my friend the audio expert said Get the tool that does the main job very well and not all the gingerbread, it will last a lot longer. I did and wow the speakers sound great!!! 5

[96 dB] I've been a JBL person for many years, but I must say that putting this speaker next to my JBl JRX112M (the same speaker configuration), blew me away. I never thought JBL could be surpassed. I was wrong. This EV speaker did it. As a pro musician for many years, I rate this at the top 3 speakers in it's class, if not the top of the heap. I love the light weight for transporting, as I have to move my equipment 5 nights per week in Las Vegas. The sound reproduction is great. It actually put out more volume at the same mixer setting than the JBL. There are two things I would like to see changed. The handles should be on top (as the JBL), not on the sides. This will make the speaker easier to grab and load into a vehicle, instead of bending over and reaching for the handle on the side. Another change I would like to see, is that the cabinet would have both Speakon and 1/4 inputs, as some mixers don't have Speakon outputs, therefore requiring you to buy an adaptor. The JBL has both Speakon and 1/4 inputs. Otherwise, this speaker is an excellent choice... 5

[2x Side] I run a system in my church and currently own 6 of this speakers. 2 are elevated main for Highs and mid on 2000 watt amps and a driverack. The other 4 are stage monitors 2 on 1000 w amps and 2 on 2000 watt amps all the ones that are use for monitors are running in full range. They have awesome High and mid, and for the size the low is not bad at all. Great response when used with a drive rack or crossover. Really light and really heavy duty. Would recommend to anyone. 5
