The black Yamaha DZR315 is a 3-way powered loudspeaker designed for main/FOH applications. The 2000W Class-D bi-amp powers the 15" woofer, 8" midrange driver, and 2" compression driver, which combine to provide a frequency range of 31 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB) with a maximum SPL of 143 dB.

The on-board 96 kHz DSP processor utilizes Advanced FIR filters for the crossover network and corrective EQ. With the FIR filters, the DZR315 is able to produce a smooth frequency response for remarkable clarity and sound imaging without phase distortion. The onboard LCD screen allows users to easily navigate the variety of DSP functions, load presets, and adjust PEQ, delay, and routing. The D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multiband compressor that ensures the DZR315's sound stays consistent and clear no matter how hard you drive them. The FOH/Main mode boosts the lower frequencies to compensate for low-end that is typically lost when flying speakers.

The rear panel offers two combo XLR-1/4" inputs with XLR thru/outputs and dedicated level controls. A USB port allows for system upgrades and preset configuration and backups. The Yamaha DZR315 ships with a standard IEC power cord.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this mixer with my portable Yamaha PAS 500?

A: The EMX5 is a powered mixer similar to the STAGEPAS mixer unit. The EMX5 does feature a line level stereo output that can be connected to the inputs on a unit such as the STAGEPAS 500.

Q: 2. Will it provide 48V phantom power to a plugged-in microphone?

A: The Alto Professional TS408 TrueSonic 4 Series 2000W 8" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth, does not provide +48v phantom power for condenser microphones. If you use a microphone that requires +48V of phantom power, connect it to an external phantom power supply or mixer, before connecting it to the loudspeaker.

Q: 3. Can this be used with HS80M monitors? I've noticed that this subwoofer has a very different frequency response curve to the now discontinued HS10W subwoofer that was designed for the HS80M monitors.

A: Contacted Yamaha and they assure me that it can be used with HS80M monitors. Frequency response is different as the HS8S can go as low as 22hz (HS10W was 30hz). You just need to adjust the cross over frequency until it best complements the HS80M monitors.

Q: 4. Is there a way to use a Vesa mount with these speakers by themselves or in any combination with the brackets? Would like to attach them to a desk.

A: The following brackets are mane by Yamaha for this monitor• Baton bracket BBS251,• Ceiling bracket BCS251, • Wall bracket BWS251,• Wall bracket / ceiling bracket BWS50.See page 11,12 for instructions on mounting (https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/4/793644/hs8i_en_om_c0.pdf)

Q: 5. Can SOUND delay (milliseconds) be adjusted on the speaker or via the app?

A: The Alto Professional TS410 2000W 10" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth (BH # ALTS410XUS) features the Alto Mobile App which gives hands-on remote control over Bluetooth levels, speaker use modes, custom EQ and sub size selection. Further, true wireless stereo linking can be configured remotely via the app to save time during setup. Delay is not adjustable.

Q: 6. Can several of these speakers (only 2 or more?) have their settings adjusted via the app? Can the settings be copied across?

A: The manufacturer has not stated how many TS410 2000W 10" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth can be configured simultaneously via the app.

Q: 7. This shows 137dBSPL I'm assuming that's at 1m.... what's the SPL at 2m, or some other relative distance?

A: For 2 meters away, the SPL at that location will be 131db.

Q: 8. What is the difference between HS8I and HS8?

A: The HSI model has added mounting points to the original HS monitor, and is now compatible with three optional bracket types—wall, ceiling, and baton—adding the flexibility to accommodate a broad range of sonic environments.

Q: 9. Does it come with a power cable?

A: Yes, the Alto Professional TS410 2000W 10" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker with Bluetooth comes with a power cable.

Q: 10. Does this model have crossover templates for the SRM-15 V-Class or vice versa? Or does Mackie have plans for an accompanying SRM V-Class sub? Urgent answer required; I'm planning to buy V-Class 15-inchers and am trying to decide on the right sub. Don't understand why Mackie would put out the V-Class SRM line without a sub or at least specifying which sub it pairs with. Baffling.

A: We do not carry a Mackie Sub in the SRM V class line, but the DRM 18S is tunable and can be made to match the SRM models. There is no built in preset for it,

[96 kHz] I purchased a second BR-10 to complete a PA system I use with a Fender guitar/Yamaha modeling amp combo. I get the sound I like and then let it rip. Clean, powerful and impressively responsive across the entire frequency range. Way more than enough for 1500 sq ft of audience (~200 people). Can switch to pure PA use without problems and nobody is going to gripe about this rig. Wish I had this setup when I started doing gigs.

[Plywood] Finally got to use these at a gig just this weekend after purchasing them last summer. I've used them a bit before but really never have had a chance to really air them out and see what they can do.

Wow.

I had these outside up against a wall on a patio outdoors and had to provide audio for a wedding, both the ceremony and the reception. The ceremony itself was about 100 yards from the speakers. No problems at all, these handled that job with ease.

I haven't invested in a subwoofer yet, and with all honesty I wouldn't get the Yamaha subs to go with this when I do (JTR Captivator 218PRO is 3dB down at 27hz for anyone reading this) but it really didn't matter at all. Once it was time to get down and boogie, these speakers brought it with crystal clarity. I still had a ways to go before distortion and we were just rocking the whole mountain valley in Lincoln, MT.

Truly awesome speakers. No distortion at all at insane volume levels with some heavy dance music. Great bass and the mids/highs are crisp and clear. I can't recommend these enough nor the service I received here at BHPhoto. Top quality company and products!

[96 kHz] I bought a pair of the 10" speakers to provide sound in my basement for DJ practice mixes and to make my Peloton bike experience rock. It does that very well using only a fraction of its full power. I connected everything through a Yamaha MG10xu mixer.

I have not taken the speakers outside yet, but they should power a backyard party and make the neighbors stand up and notice.

The speakers are rugged, lightweight for the sound they produce, and priced well. You can certainly get better and louder sound, but you will pay at least double.

[143 dB] I have only used these speakers once but suffice it to say I am very impressed with sound level and quality of sound!!

I play in a three piece wedding band, drums, bass and guitar.

I had a gig at an outside venue and decided to test these speakers out there.  I had been led to believe the venue was smaller and guests would number about 150.  When I got there the place was bigger than I expected and there were a bit more than 200 guests. To top it off, the dance floor was located a ways from the band.

When I fired them up and did the sound check I knew that the speakers were going to handle the event just fine.

I used a bass drum mic and an overhead for the drums.  I also put the guitar and  and a little bass guitar through the speakers.  These speakers put out some surprising  volume and quality sound. The vocals sounded very nice and clear.

Granted, these speakers are and upgrade from the $800 to $900 per speaker I was using, but nevertheless these Yamaha bring the volume and quality of sound that IS the next level. I can only Imagine how they sound with the Yamaha subs which I plan on getting soon.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. And bottom line, these speakers make my band sound better, and that is good for business.
