Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will I be able to use a Manfrotto 100 to 75 Bowl adapter ring with this (BH #MA319 • MFR #319) or do I need to purchase the one made by Benro?

A: Yes, the Manfrotto adapter should work fine in this hi-hat.

Q: 2. What are the dimensions at the widest point? 4.7"?

A: Yes, this product is widest at 4.7 inches.

Q: 3. Can you level the ball head with this like regular ball head tripod?

A: Yes

Q: 4. What's the weight capacity?

A: The manufacturer does not list a weight capacity anywhere. However, the ikan IK-RSR6 will be able to support more weight than any tripod head you fix onto the riser.

Q: 5. Hi, Does it be able work with the Sachtler FSB 8?

A: The Sachtler FSB 8 has a 75mm Ball, making it compatible with the Benro 75mm Hi-Hat.

Q: 6. Does this work with ANY 75mm ball head or only Benro products?

A: I would think it will work with any 75mm. It works with my Sachtler 75mm.

Q: 7. Which one to get 75mm or 100mm hi hat? I know the difference in size and weight but which would be better for still photography? Thanx.

A: Better depends on what you are doing. Most likely the smaller 75mm will be more than adequate for still photography. 100mm is better for cameras that are larger than most any still camera being used today.

Q: 8. Would this work with a Benro S8? I'm concerned about the length of the Benro's stem. Also, how can this Riser be connected to a tripod?

A: Hi Thomas. Sorry for the delayed response. I use this item to attach a Miller Compass 21 Fluid Head to a very tall Manfrotto 161 Tripod (3 meters in in height). It's enabled a number of difficult shots. I am not acquainted with the Benro products (as such) but I can confirm that this item has worked well for me in the way that I have described.

Q: 9. Does it come with Benro 75mm Half Ball Adapter?

A: No, it does not. Here is the B&H listing for it. Please note availability for the item. Benro 75mm Half Ball Adapter B&H # BEBL75S.

Q: 10. Is there a board I can buy that will turn this into a hi-hat? It would need to have a 3/8ths stud in the middle

A: Ikan does not have a board option for their IK-RSR6 riser. Other solutions with a board are - Proaim Heavy-Duty Cinema Hi-Hat with Octagonal Board (75mm) BH #PRHTBWL7500

[Flat] It seems sturdy so far. We'll see over time. You will need a smaller (in lenght) M10 Threaded knob for your manfroto head. Mine didn't fit. That being said I wish they had a shorter 4 version.

[Aluminum] Very nice package, great build quality and functionality for the price. Comes in a small case and packs down very small which I love.

[Aluminum] I've owned a Benro BV8 tripod for several years and wanted to own a pair of 75mm Baby Legs. I've used a lot of other options, Sachtler and such. And I have to say these ones are superior.

The build quality is amazing, you can get the camera so low in comparison with other baby legs. They come with different feet options for dirt and uneven surfaces as well as a small
short Tie-Down thread to hold the tripod head. Since the one on the Bv8 is super long.

The only regret I have is maybe I should've bought the 100mm version for the future if a expand to bigger Tripod Heads.

[Aluminum] Love the optional feet and overall a very well machined part with flexibility in camera positioning with the adjustable legs.
