Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a board I can buy that will turn this into a hi-hat? It would need to have a 3/8ths stud in the middle

A: Ikan does not have a board option for their IK-RSR6 riser. Other solutions with a board are - Proaim Heavy-Duty Cinema Hi-Hat with Octagonal Board (75mm) BH #PRHTBWL7500

Q: 2. What are the dimensions at the widest point? 4.7"?

A: Yes, this product is widest at 4.7 inches.

Q: 3. Hi. Will this work with the Manfrotto 504 HD head?

A: Yes, the Manfrotto 504HD Fluid Video Head uses a 75mm half-bowl for connection so it is compatible with the Benro 75mm Hi-Hat.

Q: 4. I have the Magnus REX VT-6000 2-Stage Video Tripod with Fluid Head. What 75mm adapter would work with that fluid head?

A: The Benro 75mm Hi-Hat will not need an adapter to use the head on the Magnus REX VT-6000 2-Stage Video Tripod's fluid head.

Q: 5. Will this fit Manfrotto 502HD?

A: Yes it will. B&H# MAMVH502A, which is the 75mm version of the 502HD, will work very well in this 75mm Hi-Hat.

Q: 6. What is the weight capacity?

A: Hi Seth, The E-Cup is rated at 175lb.

Q: 7. Would this work with the Sachtler Ace tripod?

A: Yes, if it has a 75mm ball head. It should work with all 75mm ball head tripod heads.

Q: 8. When mounting to a slider, how much stability is lost by raising the head and camera 6"? Am I better off just buying a flat-base head?

A: The ikan IK-RSR6 Hi-Hat Riser (6") (B&H# IKIKRSR6) simply raises the point of connection between the slider and the camera by around six inches. First, it should be said that even when not using a hi-hat, most uses of a slider will nevertheless still use a head such as a typical tripod head that is around 2.5-3" (6.35-7.6cm) tall anyway. Yes, raising the head even higher will make the slider more top heavy. However, whether or not that is a problem will depend on many factors and will well be worth it to video shooters wanting to use a half ball to be able to take the shot at a particular angle. If the load capacity of the slider can handle the extra weight then it should still be sufficiently stable, especially when used flat.

Q: 9. Hi, Does it be able work with the Sachtler FSB 8?

A: The Sachtler FSB 8 has a 75mm Ball, making it compatible with the Benro 75mm Hi-Hat.

Q: 10. What's the weight capacity?

A: The manufacturer does not list a weight capacity anywhere. However, the ikan IK-RSR6 will be able to support more weight than any tripod head you fix onto the riser.

[Flat] I've owned a Benro BV8 tripod for several years and wanted to own a pair of 75mm Baby Legs. I've used a lot of other options, Sachtler and such. And I have to say these ones are superior.

The build quality is amazing, you can get the camera so low in comparison with other baby legs. They come with different feet options for dirt and uneven surfaces as well as a small
short Tie-Down thread to hold the tripod head. Since the one on the Bv8 is super long.

The only regret I have is maybe I should've bought the 100mm version for the future if a expand to bigger Tripod Heads.

[0.465 lb] I'm about a few weeks in owning this, and I love it. Not one for buying brands that arnt top in my list, but benro definitely surprised me with the build quality and the ergonomics. Lots of value in this considering you'll be paying a hefty price for a good quality baby tripod/hi-hat contraption. It's sturdy and the feet have a rubber grip that makes me slap my mama. It's great for table top shooting or when you need stability on the floor.

[0.465 lb] This riser / hihat will give you solid bang for the buck, with zero complexity and artistry of design that could be found in the Moma. I cannot attest to its longevity as I just purchased it, that being said the quality of the metal finish and the overall thickness of the tool is noteworthy so it looks built to last. I like the fact that you can use it not only as a hihat, but also as a riser for use on a slider. Very functional. When you compare it to other products in its class the price is less than half but the quality is at bare minimum equal. You get major value for your dollars here.

[0.465 lb] Ok, so I've been shooting corporate video and reality TV for just over 40yrs and still love'n my job. Over the years I've had many occasions where I needed a Hi-Hat support...rather than buy these fixed metal bolt to plywood units, I just had the wife sew a small durable vinyl pillow to do the job of supporting my camera. Now that shots made with a short 2' slider are common, I needed a real Hi-Hat support. When I discovered this Benro unit I was impressed. It's what I really needed for the past 40yrs. Build quality is true professional (it can support up to 220lbs - I'm 170lbs, stood on it to test and it's solid) and the additional included feet are a real plus. The carry bag is not an afterthought but a really nice bonus-very well made too! ...so from now on this little tool will be on every one of our shoots from this point forward. What are you waiting for.... Buy This Now!!!
